第二课时　Section A(2a－2d)

根据句意及音标提示写出单词及其汉语意思。

环节1　新课导入

The teacher shows some pictures of different people to the students and asks them to describe the people.

S1：Yao Ming is tall.Guo Jingming is short.

S2：The girl on the left is fat，and the girl on the right is thin.

S3：The girl on the left has long hair.The girl on the right has short hair.

...

设计意图：通过图片的形式以及师生之间的互动，激发学生的好奇心，调动学生参与的积极性。

环节2　学习2a－2d

1．让学生朗读2a中的形容词及副词(短语)，掌握其含义，为听力练习做好铺垫。

2．听一遍录音，完成2a的任务。

3．再听一遍录音，完成2b的任务，并注意核对2a和2b的答案。

4．两人一组，学生A看教材P18上2c右方的表格，学生B看教材P81上方的表格，就Sam和Tom的信息进行问答练习；老师邀请两三组学生当堂表演对话。

5．让学生跟读2d的录音，理解其大意。

6．让学生分角色表演2d的对话。

7．要点点拨。

(1)Oh，which one was Lisa?

which在此处作形容词，意为“哪一个，哪一些”。它还可作代词。例：Which (one) is your brother？哪一个是你的哥哥？

(2)You can tell that Lisa really wanted to win，though.

though在此处作副词，意为“不过，可是，然而”。它常用于句末作补充说明，使语气减弱。它还可作连词，意为“虽然，尽管，不过”，用于引导让步状语从句。

(3)But the most important thing is to learn something new and have fun.

本句的主语thing前使用了最高级the most important修饰；表语由两个并列的不定式短语充当。

8．学以致用。(汉译英)

(1)昨天谁在演讲比赛中获胜了？

Who_won_the_speech_competition_yesterday？

(2)哪一件T恤衫是你的？

Which_(one)_is_your_T­shirt？/Which_T­shirt_is_yours？

(3)我的任务是擦黑板。

My_duty_is_to_clean_the_blackboard.

设计意图：通过2a与2b的听力练习，使学生初步了解比较级的构成及一些比较句型；通过2c和2d的对话练习，使学生能用比较级就人物的个人特征进行描述。
