Hw d they get my infrmatin? Did yu knw that when yu surf the Web, many websites put secret sftware n yur cmputer? The sftware cllects a large amunt f infrmatin abut yu and sends it t Internet cmpanies. The Internet cmpanies sell it t ther businesses. Yur persnal infrmatin can als be cllected frm scial media(媒体)sites. There are many ways yur infrmatin can be used.
What infrmatin d they cllect and why? First, cmpanies cllect yur infrmatin. The cmpanies find ut where yu live, what websites yu visit, and what yu d nline. With this infrmatin, they can guess ther things abut yu. Fr example, they can guess if yu are male r female, hw ld yu are, and yur interests. Then these cmpanies will advertise prducts r ther websites t yu.
What nline habits are tracked(追踪)? Anther way yur persnal infrmatin can be cllected is thrugh scial media. When yur infrmatin is n scial media, a lt f peple can see it. Even if yu dn't use scial media, a friend might pst a picture r vide f yu with yur name n it. Pictures and vides can be shared fr free n scial media, which is ne f the great benefits(福利). Hwever, that same act f sharing culd be prblem fr yur wn security(安全). If smene knws t much abut yu, they can steal yur identity(身份). Then they can buy things nline and pst messages while pretending(假装)t be yu.
Cnclusin. All f yur nline habits can be recrded. Studying peple's nline habits is big business. Yur persnal infrmatin is very valuable t cmpanies. That is hw they knw wh t send their advertisements t. The Internet reaches almst every crner f the wrld, but the danger is that yur persnal infrmatin might travel that far, t.
