Review the simple present tense f the verb t be.
Step2 Presentatin
1.Give sme sentences n the screen.
2. Let the students cmpare the sentences n the blackbard. Help students t find ut the differences. The teacher says:“Lk at these sentences. Pay attentin t the verbs. We use the verb “t be” in these three sentences while we use the verb “t d” in these nes.”
3.We use the simple present tense when we talk abut:
(1)things that we ften d.
(2)things that are always true.
(3)things that are true nw.
4.Give mre sentences.Help the students cmpare these sentences. Remind the students paying attentin t these verbs: When the subject is he/she /it, we need t add an “s” t the verb.

1. Help the students t read the table n page 23,let the students knw hw t add an “s” t the verb. Hw many ways are there t add an “s”? What are they? Emphasis sme ways that the students can make mistakes easily, such as:“以辅音字母+y结尾的动词,去掉y,再加ies.”
