Sperm whales, thugh distributed in nearly all f the earth’s ceans, prefer deep waters and can dive t a depth f 2, 200 meters, said Xu. Lcal authrities said that dispsing f the whale carcasses was nw a prblem. Because whales are listed as a natinal grade Ⅱ animal fr key prtectin in China, lcal authrities were waiting fr instructins frm the Ministry f Agriculture’s fishery cmmand center.
