Step1：Warm-up

1) Greetings.

2) Review the food words that they learned before .

Pizza, chicken ,fish ,ice cream ,milk, apples, bananas, chocolate, tea

Step2：Presentation and practice

1)  Listen and let’s chant

2)  Group work: make your own chant,and then present.

3)  Listen and draw. Then check the answers.

4)  Learn to read the new words.

1.    cola

Show thepics to students and do the action while reading the word,pay more attention to the pronunciation [kəʊlə]

2.    orange juice

Show students the orange card first,then show the juice card ,then make them together,ask a pupil to read it ,then ask the pupil to lead the students to read it.

3.    popcorn

Ask students to look at the teacher’s mouth carefully and imitate my pronunciation.

Drill: I show my right hand ,students read “pop”

I show my left hand ,students read “corn”

I show my right hand and left hand ,students read “popcorn”

4.hamburger

First read the word then play the game: “hide and seek”

5.   Learn some Chinese traditional food words with the Ss.   

5)  Play a game: guess what it is.

6)  What is good for you? What is bad for you? I think ... is good for me, ... is bad.

Step3：consolidation

Write an e-mail to Alice from the UK, and send it to me.

Step4： Sum-up and homework

Review all the new words and sentences.

Give an assessment to group work.

Finish your e-mail.
