The past cntinuus tense过去进行时
过去进行时表示过去某一时刻正在发生的动作，常与at that time / mment, then, at 9:00 p.m., yesterday等时间状语连用。2. 过去进行时表示过去某一段时间内持续的动作，常与thse days, the whle mrning, frm 7:00 t 9:00 yesterday evening 等时间状语连用。3. 过去进行时表示在过去某一个动作发生时，另一个动作正在发生。

We use the past cntinuus tense t talk abut actins that were happening at a particular time in the past.

while 后面的动词一般采用延续性的进行时态，如果主要动作都是延续性的或同时发生，那么主从句都可用过去进行时。

过去进行时与一般过去时的区别
