Sir Nichlas Wintn
Sir Nichlas Wintn (1909-2015) was brn in Lndn. On the eve f Wrld War II, he was just a brker at the Lndn Stck Exchange, but
he single-handedly established an rganisatin t aid children frm Jewish families at risk frm the Nazis and managed t rescue 669 children frm Czechslvakia. Then he fund them hmes in Britain t help them escape the massacre.
The secret was kept fr half a century until his wife fund his jurnal when a televisin prgramme episde made by BBC was bradcast in 1988, and nly then did his rescue achievements finally becme knwn t the wrld. The British press called him the “British Oskar Schindler” and the children he rescued, “Wintn’s children”.
Oskar Schindler
Oskar Schindler (1908-1974) was a German businessman, wh is praised fr saving the lives f apprximately 1,100 Jews during Wrld War II by emplying them in his factries. He is respected by Jews and peple
