Bittle prfiles Patrick Garvey, wh bught a neglected grve(疏于打理的小树林) n Big Pine Key, and fixed it up int“a real cmmunity resurce” that grew fruits rare in the cntinental U.S. Then came Hurricane Irma. Patrick and sme friends decided t stay n the island during the strm, and ended up sheltering at a nearby schl. They survived—a dzen peple in the Keys didn’t—but the grve wasn’t as lucky.
Patrick’s stry is a heartbreaking ne.
