    【32题详解】
细节理解题。根据第一段“Yet, in ne f the lngest- running studies f trpical wildlife ppulatins in the wrld, Stanfrd researchers fund that ver 18 years, smaller farms with varying crp types - mixed with patches r ribbns f frest — sustain many frest- dependent bird ppulatins in Csta Rica, even as ppulatins decline in frests.(然而,在世界上持续时间最长的热带野生动物种群研究之一中,斯坦福大学的研究人员发现,在18年多的时间里,尽管森林中的鸟类种群数量减少,但种植不同作物类型的小型农场——与成片或成带的森林混合在一起——维持着哥斯达黎加许多依赖森林的鸟类种群)”可知,斯坦福大学关于哥斯达黎加鸟类种群的研究表明种植不同作物类型的小型农场维持着许多依赖森林的鸟类种群,即多样化的农场支持森林鸟类。故选A。
    【33题详解】
主旨大意题。根据第三段“While this research implies that diversified farming culd be key fr bidiversity, the relatinship ges bth ways: bidiversity is key fr fd security. In this case, that means having a variety f types f birds feeding n insects and helping t pllinate crps.(虽然这项研究表明,多样化的农业可能是生物多样性的关键,但这种关系是双向的:生物多样性是粮食安全的关键。这意味着有各种类型的鸟类捕食昆虫并帮助授粉作物。)”以及第四段““Identity des seem t matter a lt fr pest cntrl and ther ecsystem services birds prvide. These species are nt interchangeable,” said Hendersht.(亨德森肖特说:“身份似乎对害虫控制和鸟类提供的其他生态系统服务非常重要。这些物种是不可互换的。”)”可知,生物多样性与粮食安全之间存在着相互关系,这意味着有各种类型的鸟类捕食昆虫并帮助授粉作物,鸟类在害虫控制和其他生态系统服务中非常重要,即鸟类多样性对粮食安全至关重要。故选C。
    【34题详解】
词句猜测题。根据第五段“Wrking landscapes are crucial nw fr preserving bidiversity and its benefits. “Peple, including scientists, had the idea that farmland wuld nt supprt a meaningful amunt f bidiversity,” said Gretchen Daily. 【35题详解】
推理判断题。根据最后一段““We believe the findings f ur research are new t science, but in a sense, it merely cnfirms what indigenus cmmunities arund the wrld have already knwn fr a lng time, which is that humans can and shuld have mutually beneficial relatinships with the rest f the lcal eclgical cmmunity they are part f,” said Tadashi Fukami, a prfessr f bilgy in H&S and f Earth system science in the Stanfrd Derr Schl f Sustainability and a c- authr f the paper.(“我们相信我们的研究结果对科学来说是新的,但从某种意义上说,它只是证实了世界各地的土著社区长期以来已经知道的事情,即人类可以而且应该与他们所属的其他当地生态社区建立互惠互利的关系,”健康与安全学院生物学教授、斯坦福大学多尔可持续发展学院地球系统科学教授、该论文的合著者Tadashi Fukami说)”可知,Fukami 教授指出,尽管研究结果对科学界来说是新的,但它实际上只是证实了世界各地原住民社区早已知道的事情,即人类可以并且应该与他们所在的当地生态社区建立互利的关系。故选B。

Tw mnths earlier, a cuple frm Texas had reached ut t me n scial media t give us ne f the puppies. I wasn’t sure. I had been struggling with getting Anthny, whm I’d recently adpted, t trust that I was his frever family.
I grew up in pverty in Uganda, a cuntry f Africa, enduring daily beatings frm my father and struggling fr basic necessities. When I was 10, I fled and lived n the streets f Kampala fr fur years, wrking at a prduce market t survive. A kind family tk me in, prvided fd and eventually a hme, and ffered t pay fr my educatin. After graduating frm cllege in Califrnia n a schlarship, I pursued a career as a translatr, fcused n helping vulnerable (易受伤害的) children.
In 2016, I became a fster (代养的) parent, welcming children int my hme and prviding them with a lving envirnment. Nw, here I was, fur years later, with an adpted sn wh watched my every mve, wndering if he culd fully trust me.
As the weeks went by, the mre I saw f my yunger self in Anthny. He read vraciusly (如饥似渴地) , helped arund the huse and asked me fr very little. He was wrking very hard t please me — a clear sign that he didn’t trust my cmmitment t care fr him.
One afternn, I came int the kitchen and Anthny immediately started cleaning up.
I stpped him. Wuld he always wnder if I was ging t give him up? “Yu dn’t need t wrk s hard,” I said. “This is yur frever hme. Yu belng here. Yu can be yurself.”
He shrugged. “I just dn’t want t mess this up.”
My heart brke fr him. I was mre determined than ever t make him feel lved.
In early 2020, we mved t Charltte, Nrth Carlina. Nt lng after, the cuple in Texas ffered us this puppy that Anthny culdn’t stp thinking abut. He had been asking abut the dg ever since.
That mrning in March, he asked again.

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________【答案】One pssible versin:
That mrning in March, he asked again. The gleam in his eyes was a brilliant spark f life, dancing amidst the lingering dubts that cluded my mind. My heart sftened as I gazed int the hpeful eyes, feeling the weight f his desire. With a tender nd, I leaned in clse and whispered sftly, “Yes, Anthny, tday is indeed the day we bring hme ur little bundle f jy.” We drve 16 hurs t Texas t pick up ur bundle f fur and energy. We chse the name Simba — after the character in The Lin King — because Anthny wanted me t have a reminder f Africa. He was still trying t earn my apprval.
Simba was adrable, but he tested my patience as puppies d. One day, he had an accident n the carpet. I sighed and reached fr the cleaning supplies. As I knelt dwn t start the cleanup, I nticed Anthny standing nearby, watching me with a mixture f guilt and cncern. I said with a reassuring smile, “It’s all right, Simba. Accidents are a natural part f life. Yu belng here, and we still lve yu uncnditinally.” My wrds seemed t have a calming effect n Anthny, as his shulders slwly relaxed and a sense f relief washed ver his face. He stepped clser and said, “Yeah, Simba. Nthing yu d can mess up this family.”
