The research included a field study at twcnvenience stres in San Francisc, which currently has a tax n sugary drinks f I cent perunce. The researchers cmpared sales f thedrinks during the study perid t the tw weeksbefre the study began when the sugary drinktax was in effect but there were n price tagsn any drinks. Results shwed sales f sugarydrinks weren’t lwer during the tw weeks, cmpared t sales befre the tax, indicating the tax itself didn’t reduce purchases f sugary drinks.
