口诀去主谓,定末尾;名用what,形副hw;a,an出现注意到:形名相连选用what,形名相隔就用hw。

选what 时要注意名词是可数还是不可数,可数单数要检查是否有a/an!
句中有a/an时,形容词名词连在一起用what,分开用Hw
定义:表示说话人语气或情绪、态度的动词。
基本特征1.有词义,不能单独作谓语,必须和其他动词原形构成谓语。2.无人称和数的变化,有过去式(有些情态动词过去式与原形相同)3.后接动词原型。
1.Can 1)表示客观上的能力,意思是“能,会”; 2)表主观推测或可能性,意思是“可能是,有时会”;3)表示请求、许可或给与许可,意思是“可以”。
2.Culd 1)can的过去式。表示过去的能力; 2)表过去的可能性,意思是“可能是,有时会”;3)用于现在时,表请求或许可,语气比can委婉。
3.May 1)表示许可或给与许可,意思是“可否,可以” 2)表主观推测或可能性,意思是“或许是”,比can可能性小3)may的提问否定回答用mustn’t(禁止)
4.Might 1)may的过去式,用于现在时,比may语气更委婉 2)表主观推测或可能性,意思是“或许是”比may可能性小
may,might表推测不用于疑问句。
5.Must 1)表命令或要求,意思是“一定,必须”。2)mustn’t表禁止,must的提问否定回答用needn’t或dn’t have t(不必)。3)“肯定”表确定的推测,只用于肯定句。
6.have t 1)意思与must接近,表“必须”。2)must强调主观需求,have t 强调“限于客观条件而不得不”。3)have t 有人称,时态和数的变化。
7.shuld1)表建议,意思是“应该,应当”。2)表按常理推测可能发生的情况,意思是“应该是,应该会”。
8.ught t1)表建议,意思与shuld相近,但语气更正式。2)表按推测,意思与shuld相近,但确定性更强。
ught t 通常不用于疑问句。
