状语从句
复合句：①句子包含有两个或更多的主谓结构
②其中一个（或更多的）主谓结构充当句子的某一（些）成分
③充当句子成分的主谓结构称为从句，常由从属连词引出
状语从句→在复合句中充当状语成分的从句
（状语从句可表时间、地点、原因、条件、目的、结果、让步、比较等意义）
（一）时间状语从句
常用when/while/as(当…的时候)，befre(在…之前)，after(在…以后)，till/until(直到…为止)，since(自从…以来)，as sn as(一…就…)等引导
1. when/while
when引导的从句可使用延续性动词与瞬间性动词；while引导的从句使用延续性动词
（牢记句型）：过去进行时 + when + 一般过去式
过去进行时 + while + 过去进行时
e.g. I was talking when the teacher came in.
Sme students were reading while thers were writing.
2. until的用法
肯定形式→译成“直到…为止” （动词须为延续性的）
否定形式→译成“直到…才”（即） （动词多用非延续性的）
e.g. I will wait fr yu until yu cme back.
She didn’t arrive until 6 ’clck.
3. It is + 一段时间 + since + 句子（用一般过去式）
e.g. It is/It has been ten years since his grandfather died.
4. 在时间状语从句中，常用一般现在时表将来；用一般过去时代替过去将来。（主将从现）
e.g. I’ll tell him when he cmes back.
I said I wuld tell him when he came back.
I’ll ring yu as sn as I cme back.
（二）条件状语从句
用从属连词if(如果），unless(=，除非）引导。
1. 在条件状语从句中，同样会使用到“主将从现”原则。
e.g. Yu will be late unless yu leave at nce. = Yu will be late if yu dn’t leave at nce.
2.“祈使句+ and/r +陈述句”也可表示条件从句的意思。
e.g. Study hard, and yu will get gd grades. = If yu study hard, yu will get gd grades.
Hurry up, r yu will miss yur train. = Unless yu hurry up, yu will miss yu train.
（三）让步状语从句
常由thugh, althugh(虽然；尽管）引导，连接两个意思想相反或两个意思对比的句子；thugh,althugh不能与but同时连用，但可与yet连用。
e.g. Althugh/Thugh I dn’t have much mney, I live a happy life.
= I dn’t have much mney, but I live a happy life.
（或者：Althugh/Thugh I dn’t have much mney, yet I live a happy life.）
（四）原因状语从句
常用because, since, as引导
because语气最强，用来说明人所不知的原因，回答why提出的问题。当原因是显而易见的或已为人们所知的，就用since
e.g. I didn’t g t schl because I was ill. = I didn’t g t schl because f my illness.
Since the weather is s bad, we have t stay at hme.
（五）比较状语从句
常用从属连词有：than, , nt 等。
+ adj./adv.原级 + as... …和…一样…
e.g. He is as tall as me.
s/as + adj./adv.原级 + as... …不如…
比较级 + than... …比…更…
e.g. I am nt s/as tall as Mary. = I am shrter than Mary. = Mary is taller than me.
（六）目的状语从句
用从属连词s that, in rder that 引导。从句谓语动词前常含有may, might, can, culd等情态动词。
e.g. I get up early in rder that/s that I can catch the first bus.
在目的状语从句中，有时可用in rder as t...替换s rder that...
上面的例句可替换为：I get up early in rder t/s as t catch the first bus.
（七）结果状语从句
常由或 引导，整个从句表一个行为或一种情况。
（s 是副词，只能修饰形容词或副词；such是形容词，用来修饰名词或名词词组。）
常用句式有：
1) + adj./adv. + that从句
e.g. He ran s fast that nbdy caught up with him.
2) such + a/an + adj. + 可数名词单数 + that从句 = s + adj. + a/an + 可数名词单数 + that从句
e.g. He is such a yung by that he can’t g t schl. = He is s yung a by that he can’t g t schl.
3) + adj. + 可数名词复数 + that从句
e.g. They are such lvely children that we all like them.
句型也可与 t d sth. 或 句型相替换。
e.g. The by is s yung that he can’t g t schl. = The by is t yung t g t schl.
The by is s ld that he can g t schl. = The by is ld enugh t g t schl.
