I wke at 4 a.m. in a pitch-black hstel rm, my eight rmmates all still sund asleep at the early hur. I stepped utside withut being nticed, frced a cheese rll int my muth, and headed t the Kaikura dlphin-watching tur ffice.
With mre adrenaline (肾上腺素) than I had jumping ut f a plane, I put n my flippers (脚蹼) quickly and gt ready fr the adventure. The mment I dve ff the water, I was shcked awake. N amunt f cffee, tea, r sugar has ever given me such a strng wake-up. It turns ut that the cean is freezing at 5 a.m. befre the sunrise.
