Every spring, seventh graders acrss the United States apply fr the Carline D. Bradley (CDB) Schlarship. The fur-year schlarship allws students t attend the high schl f their chice. Between 25 and 30 seventh graders are chsen yearly by the Institute fr Educatinal Advancement (IEA), which manages the prgram. After 18 years at the Institute, Bnnie Raskin, the CDB Schlarship prgram directr, is retiring.
“Watching kids grw up and develp is what inspires me and my wrkmates at the IEA,” Raskin tld me during a recent interview by vide.
The IEA, which is based in Pasadena, Califrnia, is a public rganizatin. Its gal is t meet the needs f gifted students acrss the cuntry.
