    Ugandan student’s study and adaptatin f traditinal Chinese craft helps build bridges thrugh art. With its balanced, runded pt and cups, the tea set seems like Chinese ceramic(陶瓷) at first glance. But clser inspectin f its pattern reveals an ancient Ugandan design. “My prjects always aim t jin sme aspects f Chinese and Ugandan culture tgether.” says the tea set’s creatr, Ocen Rbert.
    In 2015, Rbert arrived in China frm the East African natin t pursue a higher educatin in ceramic arts at Jingdezhen Ceramic University in East China’s Jiangxi prvince. The Ugandan is als enrlled in a PhD prgram fcusing n design, with his art pieces sld at natinal-level exhibitins in China.
