HARBIN-Jiang Kedng still remembers his teacher’s angry wrds when he was punished fr talking during class——“Can yu make mney by talking?” Nw, he can answer that questin. This winter, Jiang became famus as “Brther Left and Right” in China, a hst f perfrmances at Harbin Ice-Snw Wrld, a theme park in the capital f Heilngjiang prvince.
Jiang became a wrker f a car factry in 2006. But his factry didn’t develp successfully, s he held several part-time jbs, including as a drummer fr a wedding band.
With the develpment f science and technlgy, digital music files were used instead f live perfrmances at weddings. Jiang’s drumming career ended, but this experience cnnected him with the wedding industry.

Scientists have discvered the wrld’s largest knwn field f seagrass with the aid f sme unusual helpers: tiger sharks.
Seagrass usually grws in shallw waters. It grws in thick fields, knwn as meadws (草地). These seagrass meadws help clean the cean’s water, and prvide shelter fr lts f sea life. They are als a big help in the fight against climate change. That’s because they stre huge amunts f carbn dixide (二氧化碳). This harmful pllutin is making glbal warming wrse. Damaging these seagrass meadws will nly further release (释放) this pllutin back int the atmsphere.
Thugh they’re very imprtant, scientists dn’t have a gd idea f the size and number f the wrld’s seagrass meadws. Trying t find these meadws frm abve the sea waters can be quite difficult. The wrld’s ceans are s large in size that it’s simply nt pssible t make a deep study f them by diving. S a team f scientists decided t have tiger sharks help with the research. These animals were chsen as research helpers because they spend a lt f their time in and arund seagrass meadws.
Researchers attached cameras t the fins (鳍) f seven tiger sharks. The sharks then carried the cameras and travelled fr miles ver the sea flr. The cameras were designed t fall ff after a few hurs and then flat back up t the surface. Tracking signals helped the scientists find the flating cameras and t cllect the vides the sharks had taken.
The scientists learned that the waters arund the Bahamas are hme t the largest seagrass meadw ever discvered, which culd be as large as 92,000 square kilmetres. The discvery means that the wrld has abut 40 per cent mre seagrass meadws than scientists had thught.

Scientists have discvered the wrld’s largest knwn field f seagrass with the aid f sme unusual helpers: tiger sharks.
Seagrass usually grws in shallw waters. It grws in thick fields, knwn as meadws (草地). These seagrass meadws help clean the cean’s water, and prvide shelter fr lts f sea life. They are als a big help in the fight against climate change. That’s because they stre huge amunts f carbn dixide (二氧化碳). This harmful pllutin is making glbal warming wrse. Damaging these seagrass meadws will nly further release (释放) this pllutin back int the atmsphere.
Thugh they’re very imprtant, scientists dn’t have a gd idea f the size and number f the wrld’s seagrass meadws. Trying t find these meadws frm abve the sea waters can be quite difficult. The wrld’s ceans are s large in size that it’s simply nt pssible t make a deep study f them by diving. S a team f scientists decided t have tiger sharks help with the research. These animals were chsen as research helpers because they spend a lt f their time in and arund seagrass meadws.
Researchers attached cameras t the fins (鳍) f seven tiger sharks. The sharks then carried the cameras and travelled fr miles ver the sea flr. The cameras were designed t fall ff after a few hurs and then flat back up t the surface. Tracking signals helped the scientists find the flating cameras and t cllect the vides the sharks had taken.
The scientists learned that the waters arund the Bahamas are hme t the largest seagrass meadw ever discvered, which culd be as large as 92,000 square kilmetres. The discvery means that the wrld has abut 40 per cent mre seagrass meadws than scientists had thught.
The prject demnstrates (示范) a pwerful new way t explre the cean. In ther wrds, underwater animals can help us learn mre abut life under the sea. Animals like tiger sharks are ging t take us t new places that we didn’t even knw.

Buck grwled, and was surprised when the rpe was pulled hard arund his neck. He jumped at the man. The man caught him and suddenly Buck was n his back with his tngue ut f his muth. Fr a few mments he was unable t mve, and it was easy fr the tw men t put him int the train.
When Buck wke up, the train was still mving. The man was sitting and watching him, but Buck was t quick fr him and he bit the man’s hand hard. Then the rpe was pulled again and Buck had t let g.
That evening, the man tk Buck t the back rm f a bar in San Francisc. The barman lked at the man’s hand and trusers cvered in bld.

They tk ff Buck’s rpe and pushed him int a wden bx. He spent the night in the bx in the back rm f the bar. His neck still ached with pain frm the rpe, and he culd nt understand what it all meant. What did they want with him, these strange men? And where was Mr Miller?
