Making an Aplgy
1.句中need是及物动词，意思是“需要”，后面常跟名词，代词，不定式或动词-ing形式。例如 They certainly need yur help.Help shuld be given t thse wh need it.I dn’t think yu need t help him.The vegetable garden needs watering.（注：need 后接v-ing形式时，此时v-ing具有被动含义。这句话相当于The vegetable garden needs t be watered.)
2.be familiar with “熟悉，通晓”，主语通常是人。例如：他通晓英语。 He is familiar with English.他们彼此熟悉。 They are familiar with each ther. 注意区分与be familiar t的用法。be familiar t译为“为…所熟悉”,主语通常是人们所熟悉的事物,宾语通常是人.例如:This is a subject which is familiar t yu.这是你熟悉的一门学科.
3.miss的用法a.miss sth.意思是“未出席…”“未赶上…”“错过了…”例如:He missed the meeting yesterday.(未出席)Yu missed the 9:30 train.(未赶上)b.miss sb.(人)意思是“想念…”我非常想念你. I miss yu very much.
4.lse ne’s temper with “向…发脾气””生气”,例如:我昨天向她发了脾气. I lst my temper with her fr “因…而道歉”我必须为我的迟到道歉. I must aplgize fr cming t late.
6.feel/be ashamed f “对…感到不好意思”“羞于…”后接名词,代词,V-ing.例如:你应该为你的愚蠢行为感到羞耻. Yu shuld be ashamed f yur flish behaviur.你做这样的事感到羞耻吗? Are yu ashamed f ding such a thing?7.n the cntrary “与此相反””正相反”例如:他不坏,相反我认为他很善良. He is nt bad ,n the cntrary ,I think he is very kind.
8.regret t d和regret ding 之间的区别Regret t d sth.很遗憾地/抱歉地做(事情还没有做)I regret t tell yu that yu can’t pass the examinatin.我很遗憾地告诉你你没有通过这次考试.Regret ding sth.很遗憾/后悔做了…(为已经做过的事情感到…)I regret disturbing yu s lng.我很抱歉打扰了你那么久.注:与此用法相类似的也较常见的词还有:frget ,remember…
