Step 1 Warm-up

T: The wrds dried, washed, cleaned and brushed are the past frms f the regular verbs. Many verbs in the simple past tense end in the letters -ed. D yu knw hw t prnunce this ending?

1. Three ways f prnuncing -ed.
(1) -ed prnunces /t/ after the viceless cnsnants.
(2) -ed prnunces /d/ after the viced cnsnants and vwels.
(3) -ed prnunces /ɪd/ after the sunds /t/ and /d/.

2. Listen and repeat.
