The researchers then lked fr a link between papers’ humr scres and the number f citatins they had received, including self-citatins by their wn authrs.
Papers with funny titles were cited slightly less ften than thse with mre serius r straightfrward titles. Hwever, papers with mre amusing titles als tended t have fewer self-citatins, which led Heard’s team t infer that scientists might give funnier titles t less imprtant papers. “Our assumptin is that authrs dn’t cite their wn papers subsequently because they dn’t think that thse are their mst imprtant papers,” Heard says.

What is a kaz? Kaz (卡祖笛) is a very special wind instrument which hums thrugh the human vice and enhances the sund, similar t the saxphne.
