At Englands University f Plymuth, Prfessr Eduard Miranda has been prgramming pairs f rbts t cmpse music. Miranda's rbts have simple “ vcal crds”(声带)and are prgrammed t sing and t listen t each ther. The rbts' unique warbling sunds (颤音) d nt perfectly match the human vice, but each machine is exactly sharing music with the ther in a new and unique way.
Each rbt is equipped with speakers, sftware that mimics the human vice, a muth that pens as it “sings,” a micrphne fr ears, and a camera fr eyes. The rbts als mve. Miranda hpes that by studying his rbt vcalists, he can discver smething abut hw and why humans create, perfrm, and listen t music.
When the rbts sing, first ne rbt makes six randm sunds. Its partner respnds with mre sunds. The first rbt analyzes the sunds t see if their sequences (序列)) are similar. If they are, it nds its head and cmmits the sunds t memry, and the secnd rbt ntices and “memrizes” the musical sequence, t. If the first rbt thinks the sunds are t different, it shakes its head and bth rbts ignre the sunds. Then the prcess cntinues.
Miranda set up an experiment in which he left the tw rbts alne in his study fr tw weeks. When he returned, his little warblers had, by imitating each ther, nt nly shared ntes but cmbined them. The prduct f their cperatin was far frm symphnic, but the rbts had begun t cmbine the ntes int their wn self-develped “sngs”.
With the help f his warbling rbts, ne f Miranda's gals is t create music that n human wuld ever cmpse. Miranda believes the rbts are ideal fr this purpse because they wuld nt be influenced by any existing musical styles r rules.

根据第二段“Each rbt is equipped with speakers, sftware that mimics the human vice, a muth that pens as it “sings,” a micrphne fr ears, and a camera fr eyes.”
根据第四段“Miranda set up an experiment in which he left the tw rbts alne in his study fr tw weeks. 7. 通读全文尤其是第一段“At Englands University f Plymuth, Prfessr Eduard Miranda has been prgramming pairs f rbts t cmpse music. Miranda's rbts have simple “ vcal crds”(声带)and are prgrammed t sing and t listen t each ther. The rbts' unique warbling sunds (颤音) d nt perfectly match the human vice, but each machine is exactly sharing music with the ther in a new and unique way.”
根据第二段“Each rbt is equipped with speakers, sftware that mimics the human vice, a muth that pens as it “sings,” a micrphne fr ears, and a camera fr eyes.”
