Finding lw-cst sustainable building materials is imprtant fr the envirnment and in prviding access t affrdable husing. Researchers have created a cmpsite (复合的) building material by replacing sand in building materials with a cmmn, nn-degradable (不可降解的) waste prduct: used dispsable diapers (一次性尿布).

In terms f the materials used t create partitin walls (隔断墙), the researchers said they culd replace up t 40% f sand.
“This research has cncluded that adding used diapers t building materials des nt significantly weaken its strength,” the team stated. “It prves using diapers t create cmpsite materials is feasible, particularly cncerning the develpment f envirnmentally friendly and cst-effective materials.”
Indnesia is ranked sixth glbally fr dispsable diaper usage. Many used diapers are thrwn away in the cuntry’s rivers and waterways, causing pllutin. In 2019, the ttal waste in Indnesia was 29.21 millin tns. This figure rse t 32.76 millin tns in 2020.

When scientists talk abut recent extinctins, birds and mammals (哺乳动物) get mst f the attentin. But the first glbal analysis f its kind finds it is twice as many plants that have disappeared as birds, mammals, and amphibians (两栖动物) cmbined.
Researchers reviewed published research, internatinal databases, and museum specimens such as grasses frm Madagascar, finding that 571 plants species have gne extinct in the past 250 years. A majr review f the status f glbal bidiversity recently estimated that mre than a millin species, including 14% f plant and animal diversity, are threatened with extinctin.

C.It was a flwering plant withut leaves.D.It was a rare plant grwing undergrund.
34.What can we infer abut the plant species frm the text?
A.Abut ne plant species dies ut every year.B.Their current situatin is mre wrrying.
C.Mre plant species will keep alive in the reserve.D.They wuld be replaced by ther new species sn.
35.In which sectin f the newspaper can we find the text?
