    A
Sciety lks dwn n peple wh cllect the wastes f thers, but what they dn’t realize is that they culd get mre mney in ne day than what they get in ne week wrking at their daily jb frm selling ther peple’s unwanted gds.
I am n “make-mney-quick guru” but I have made a cuple thusand dllars frm selling what thers thrw ut t the garbage. As the saying ges: “One man’s trash is anther man’s treasure.”
Yu dn’t have t start a business. Yu culd simply sell secnd-hand things peple give away and prfit frm it. In my high schl days, I had my first experience selling an ld pre-lved Lgitech keybard t a buyer n fr $50. I remember hw exciting it was fr me t make mney frm smething I n lnger needed. I technically made a $50 prfit in less than an hur.
    Hw t make $1,000 with $0 in a day?
G n platfrms such as Facebk market r Gumtree and find things peple are giving away fr free in yur lcal area, then sell them. I fund an abundance f husehld items like cupbards, shelves, mirrr cabinet, and chairs that sell very well. Dn’t wrry what peple think f yu, remember that yu culd get a few hundred fr thse.
Reinvest yur mney and buy smething with a higher value that smene might be happy t get rid f, and sell that fr a prfit f $600, etc. Yur actin is nt just abut making mney, but als seeing it as using the earth’s resurces efficiently and nt wasting them in the trash.
If there is ne thing I learned frm this practice, it is that: there is always smene ut there wh cnsiders ne man’s trash as treasure, n matter what the item is.
    1. What may a “make-mney-quick guru” d in paragraph 2?
    A. A persn wh wrks in a cmpany.
    B. A persn wh thrws unwanted things.
    C. A persn wh teaches peple hw t make great prfit.
    D. A persn wh makes mney by selling secnd-hand things.
2 Hw did the writer start his business?
A By cllecting thers’ trash.B. By selling his ld things.
    C. By buying valuable things.D. By giving away useless things.
    3. Why did the writer suggest thers buy mre valuable things?
    A. T cllect them fr later use.B. T sell them and get a higher prfit.
    C. T learn frm the practice.D. T get rid f the unwanted things.
    4. Which f the fllwing culd be the best title fr the text?
    A. Sell Unwanted Things

Nt all bad emtins (情感) are necessarily bad. In fact, they can direct yur behaviur in useful ways. If yu’re stuck in traffic, anger with the situatin might mtivate yu t find an alternative rute (线路), which will then relieve yur stress. Future studies shuld als take int accunt ther factrs that might relate, such as ther emtins, stress and persnality.

    【点睛】词义猜测题是高考阅读理解中常考题型之一,可以大致分为
    ① 定义猜词,可以根据定义信息和举例猜测词义。如文中常用refer t,be called或that’s t say,such as等。
② 逻辑猜词可以根据同义词、反义词、因果关系词等猜测词义,例如similarly, the same as, but, hwever, while, n the ther hand, since ,because等,所猜词与这些提示词前/后面部分的含义一样、相反或是前因后果。
If yu’re stuck in traffic, anger with the situatin might mtivate yu t find an alternative rute (线路), which will then relieve yur stress.(如果你被困在交通堵塞中,对这种情况的愤怒可能会促使你去寻找另一条路线,这将会减轻你的压力)提到对处境的怒火会激发我们找替代路线。再根据划线词所在句意“但是如果你处于同一处境,卡在高速公路没有其他的办法________路线时,愤怒就不会那么有用了”可知alter应该意为:寻找替代路线,更换,划线词与Change意思一致。故选A。
