Look carefully at the back of a California state quarter（25美分）. A man with a walking stick is pictured there. Who is this man? And why is he so important that he is featured on the back of a coin?

The man on this quarter is John Muir. Even as a child, Muir loved watching nature. As a young man, he spent much of his life exploring the beauty of the wilderness. He walked more than a thousand miles across the country, through fields and woods. John Muir liked writing about the places he visited, describing their beauty.

China has taken a whole new step in its moon exploration. President Xi Jinping on Dec. 17,2020 congratulated the complete success of the Chang'e-5 mission that brought back the country's first sample's collected from the moon. Following America and Russia, China has become the third country in the world to collect rocks from the moon.

Chang'e-5 first took off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in Hainan on November 24,2020. It landed on a massive lava plain（熔岩平原） of the moon on December l. 2020. Then it started to collect the sampled. The sampled may help scientists understand more about the moon's origins. It may help work out how the moon comes into being and how it develops. Hopefully. the success of the collection will set an example for other more difficult missions in the future which will be carried out on other planets.

After the returning capsule landed back on Earth, it will be taken to Beijing by plane, where the capsule will be opened and the sampled will be ready for study, “China will also provide some of the sample's to scientists in other countries” said Pei Zhaoyu, a director at the CNSA.

As the Chang'e-5 mission has been completed successfully. Chinese scientists are already making plans for future moon exploration, including project to build a scientific research station on the moon. “We hope to work together with other countries to build the international lunar scientific research station, which could provide a shared platform for lunar scientific exploration and technological experiments,” pea said.

Because of the COVID -19 outbreak（爆发）, many people begin to look for fun online. Watching live streaming（直播的） shows has become part of their lives. At the same time, traditional culture has found a bigger stage online. Many traditional artists are starting to livestream on Douyin and Bilibili. Li Jun is a Peking Opera performer with the Shanghai Jingju Theater Company. After the outbreak, the 59- year-old took up his smart phone and started live streaming. Unlike performing on a formal stage, Li uses ordinary places as his stage, including his backyard and study room. Apart from singing, Li also teaches audience about Peking Opera. People can ask him questions and get answers directly.

“Live streaming has brought this elegant（高雅的） art down to earth.” one viewer said. “It gives young people an easier access to this traditional art and learn more about it.” Li has more than 6,000 fans on Douyin, while one of his videos got 42,000 views on Bilibili.

On March 26 th, 2020, Bilibili live streamed a Huafu show on the third China Huafu Day （中国华服日）. Performers presented clothes in traditional Chinese style, including those from Wei, Tang and Ming dynasties. During the show, viewers not only enjoyed looking at the clothes, but also watched how performers used ancient style of make-up.

As Guangming Daily noted, livestreaming has come to a new stage through which traditional culture can be kept alive.
