    Step 1.Warm up & Lead in:

    Daily greetings

    Free talk

    T asks Ss some questions to warm up.

    T: Do you like monkeys? Do you like giraffes? Do you like going to the zoo? Do you like going to the park? Do you like going to school?

    T guides Ss to review: What do we do at school?

    T:Do you like going to school?

    We can do many things at school.

    T:What do we do at school?

    Ss:...... 

    T: Do you have fun at school? Do you like school?

    T: Look, there are two girls. They like school too.

    【设计意图】通过对一些已授知识的提问,从而达到复习的效果。在这个过程中实际上是有一个逻辑思维的训练,为什么学生喜欢去学校?是因为在学校可以做很多有趣的事情,可以have fun

     

    Step 2 Presentation and Practice:

    T presents Ss the picture. In this picture, there are 2 students are going to school. By asking what they are doing, review “go to school”.

    T:Can you guess, what are they doing?

    Ss: go to school

    T: Yes, they are going to school, they say: Let’s go to school.(Ss read it)

    T assigns 3 tasks in the way to school, every task is to review and practice the knowledge.

    Task 1. In the way to school, the two girls meet the giraffe. And the giraffe asksWhat do you do at school?

    Ss will help the two girls answer the question to review the things that they can do at school.

    T:OK,let’s go to school with them! Oops, who’s he?

    Ss: giraffe!

    T: Mr. Giraffe asks: What do you do at school?(Ss say it)

    Can you answer the question for the girls?

    Ss answer the question by play some games to review the knowledge they’ve learned in Period 1.

    Game 1.Fly the balloons filled with pictures, using the sentence pattern We...

    Game 2.Fly the balloons filled with words, using the sentence pattern We...

    Game 3. Practice We ... and ...by using the balloons filled with words.

    Conclude: We have fun.

    T:We do many things at school. We have fun at school.

    OK,let’s go to school again.

    Task 2. In the way to school, the two girls meet the bear. And the bear asksWhat do you play at school?

    Ss will help the two girls answer the question to learn a new phrase: play ...

    T: Oh, Mr. Bear. He asks: What do you play at school?

    Ss answer the question with some pictures.

    Teach-play football, play chess, play yo-yo, play basketball, play cards.

    Practice: Game: T guides Ss to practice the phrases: play ... by a game.

    T: When the pictures or words shine, please say out the sentence: Let’s play ...loud.

    c.Task 3. At the gate, the two girls meet the monkey. And the monkey says: Let’s play at school, OK?

    T guides Ss to play 2 games.

    Game 1.Act and say: Two or more students do an action, and the other students should say out the action, for example, 2 students do the action of read, the other Ss should say: We read at school.

    Game 2:T invite some Ss to stay in front of the blackboard, the other Ss do the action by reading the word cards in PPT, and the Ss who stand in front of the classroom will say the action loud.

    T praises Ss with a song<Our school will shine>

    T concludes today’s learning.

    T:Do you have fun at school?

    Our school life is colorful, please love your school, enjoy your school life!

    【设计意图】通过给学生创设一个情境,在情境中通过游戏来复习第一课时所学的内容,进行操练。同时,在所学知识点的基础上,拔高难度,补充了一个词组play ....在游戏中复习巩固,学生情绪也会很高涨,同时呼应了这单元的主题We have fun at school, we like our school.

    (1) Learn to sing the song<Our school will shine>

    (2)Try to introduce your school life to your family.
