    Unit 11 How was your school trip?Section B 3a-Self check1、教学目标通过对情境的理解和对语句的观察,整理归纳过去时态的含义,动词一般过去式的变换方式,以及不同句式的转变,了解过去时态的基本用法。2、学情分析经过前面几个课时的学习,学生已有了关于过去时的知识储备,并具备了一定的观察,分析和解决相应问题的能力。孩子们是初一学生,经过一年的学习,有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力。同时,学生们对英语学习还保持着较浓厚的兴趣。所以,本节课多为学生创造自主探究,合作交流的机会。让学生结合语境,总结语法规则,发展学生的归纳能力、推理能力和应用能力。3、重点难点动词过去式的变换形式,不同句式的转换以及在生活中的应用。Step 1 lead-in Lead in by a free talk. Talk about students’ activities in May.Show them a short passage about what I usually do in May.Show another passage about what I did last month and let students find out the differences.Step 2 presentation1. Let students look at the sentences carefully and talk about some rules of the simple past tense.1) Talk about the usage of the simple past tense.2) Talk about the regular forms of the past tense.3) Talk about the pronunciation rules of the past tense.4) Do some exercises.Step 3Show another passage about my trip. Let students pick out the irregular forms.Show some more irregular forms in this unit.Give them 1 minute to remember the words.Have a competition between the boys and the girls.Step 4 guessing gameShow some pictures and let students guess what the people did in the pictures to practice the sentence structures.Step 5 Pair workWork in pairs to practice the sentence structures.Step 6 Group workWork in groups to talk about what they did last summer vacation and their feelings.Step 7 SummaryThis class we have learnt the simple past tense. The grammar is like a flower, if you look after it well and work hard, it will be more and more beautiful.Step 8 HomeworkAsk your parents or grandparnts what they did on weekends when they were in your age. Who had a happy weekend? Please write it down.
