Cell Phone Addiction(瘾)
Almost everyone today has a cell phone. However, many people cannot get rid of cell phones because phones have become part of daily life.
As the addiction to the smartphone has become a serious problem, it causes many effects in life. Most phone users look down at their phones for a long time. When hunching(弓背)or bending their neck, they put serious pressure on the neck and backbone. And this will cause a sore back or a neck ache. According to studies, as high as 45% of the young people from age 16 to 24 these days suffer back pain because of the heavy usage of smartphones. Also, trying to focus on and look at the screen of the phone for a long time will discomfort eyes and may cause loss of vision (视力). Besides, if someone brings the phone to sleep with, he or she will unconsciously (无意地)spend more time on the phone than sleep. It's true that phones make life more convenient, but that doesn't mean they can take control of life.
To get rid of phones, you can create a phone-free time. For example, turn off your phone or stop it from the Internet after 8:00 P. M. At that time, you can spend time on anything but phone so that you won't check on your phone. Just like smoking, phone addiction is habitual. You must replace the habit with another if you want to overcome it. So find a few things to do whenever you are not using your phone, such as reading a book or exercising.
Of course, it's not easy to get rid of a habit and the beginning is the most challenging. That's why having a strong idea really makes a big difference. Remember, do not let your phone become your ___▲_______ and you become the bond servant.

Many of us spent our childhoods dreaming of becoming astronauts. However, the reality is that only a few will make it. But does that mean you’ll never get the chance to work in space? Not necessarily.
In fact, some of the space jobs are not only for astronauts and they all sound just cool.
One of the most interesting space jobs is chief sniffer, NASA has already had a sniffer(嗅探员)named George Aldrich, whose job is to smell materials before they are used in spaceships.
Using your nose at work might sound a little strange, but the job is actually important. A spaceship is of small size and high temperature, which makes smells inside stronger. And once a spaceship is sent, astronauts “have no ways to run away from” unpleasant smells, Aldrich told The Telegraph. More importantly, smelling objects can help find dangerous things that could do harm to astronauts’ health.
Another job, the “space tour guide”, may seem a little ahead of its time-after all, there aren’t any tourists there. But now, many companies are starting to provide space trips and some rich space lovers such as Justin Bieber and Sarah Brightman have ordered the tours. It may not be long before space becomes one of the top travel destinations(目的地).
Being a space tour guide requires rich knowledge to help passengers get the most out of their journey. Space tour guides also need to be excellent storytellers so that passengers can experience the true beauty of the space travel.
Astronauts often spend longtime in space with the same group of people, which is why a space psychologist(心理学家)is also needed to help astronauts overcome bad feelings. “We’re crossing the boundaries between science fiction and reality,” said Rohit Talwar, director of the US company Fast Future Research. “Things we’ve seen in movies are now becoming reality!”

Once there was a poor lady who lived on a hill near the seashore. Her husband died. She had no children and lived by herself. She was so poor that she had to work hard every day.
But one night as she sat at the table, the lady said to herself, "I wish I could be of some use to the world. Why can't I do good to someone else besides myself?" At last, she came up with an idea.
She decided that she would keep a lighted(点燃的)lamp at the window for the sailors every night. So she worked late and made money to buy the oil and then she placed the lamp at the window each night. In this way she saved many lives.
She did this for five years without any reward(报酬), or the hope of reward. However, good deeds(行为)are often found out. The sailors whose lives had been saved began to send gifts to her from faraway countries. They sent her tea from China, cloth from India, silk from France and grapes from Spain. Scientists around the world are racing to create and test vaccines to help protect people against the novel coronavirus. They are making progress, but it will be quite a while before any vaccines are ready.
There are many different ways to make vaccines. At least 115 different vaccines for the novel coronavirus are being developed around the world right now. Many of them may not work or may have side effects that can be dangerous. That is why testing is very important.
Before a vaccine is ever tested on humans, it’s first tested on animals to make sure it seems safe. Testing the vaccine on humans is done in several different phases. In Phase 1, a small group of people are given small amounts of the vaccine to see if it has any bad effects. Phase 2 still tests the vaccine’s safety, but it’s mainly a test to see if the vaccine seems to work. If Phase 2 goes well, the vaccine can begin Phase 3. During Phase 3, the vaccine is tried on a much larger group of people to see how well it works.
Because of the serious and worldwide impact of the novel coronavirus, there is huge pressure to develop a working vaccine quickly. It normally takes seven or more years to develop a safe vaccine that works well. Now drug companies are hoping to create working vaccines in 12 or 18 months.
But health experts also warn that rushing too much could be dangerous. A vaccine with harmful effects could cause more problems than it solves.
