①Adjective VS Adverbs

An adjective is a word or set of words that modifies a noun or pronoun. Adjectives may come before the word they modify.

An adverb is a word or set of words that modifies verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. Adverbs answer how, when, where, why, or to what extent—how often or how much .

Choose the correct words.

1.She thinks quick/quickly.   2.She is a quick/quickly thinker.

3.She thinks fast/fastly.    4.We performed bad/badly.

5.Pat's roses smell sweet/sweetly.  6.The painter looked angry/angrily to us.

Tips: 许多副词以-ly结尾，但以下-ly结尾的词是形容词：lovely, lonely, friendly, ugly, silly等。

②Comparatives&Superlatives

Tips: 副词的比较级和最高级大多是在原级前加more和most构成，只有fast，early等是在词尾加er和est。形容词的最高级前通常加the，而副词前通常不用the。
