Isa Turan, a Turkish photographer, has images of 12 full moons he shot (拍摄) at regular intervals (间隔) throughout the year in order to show the respect to their names.
Full moons were often given specific names in many ancient civilizations. They often reflect the changing of the seasons. January’s full moon is called the Wolf Moon and February’s is called the Snow Moon.
Turan’s interest in shooting each month’s full moon began when he realized no one seemed to have done it in the way he envisioned (展望). “To be honest, I didn’t know that there was so much interest in the full moon until I made a project out of it.”
However, Turan also talked about kinds of technical difficulties to photographing the moon.
“To shoot the full moon alone, you need a good camera. If you are going to shoot an object in front of the moon, you need to have related knowledge for this,” he said. “It is very difficult to focus on both the full moon and the object at the same time. Generally, the success rate is higher in photos taken during the day because of the light.” But using Double exposure (底片) technique can make it come true. “I took photos for a few months. Then I read on the website how the moon was named in the past, and it impressed me a lot. People used to use nature as clocks and calendars. So I decided to shoot the full moon for a year according to its name,” Turan added.

A.January B.February C.December
27.What is the purpose for Turan to shoot the 12 full moons?

B.It took Turan a year to shoot the full moon.
C.The specific names of the full moons can influence the seasons’ change.
30.What can be inferred (推断) from the passage?
A.No one has used the same way which Isa Turan envisioned to shoot each month’s full moon.
B.If you have a good camera, you can shoot an object in front of the moon.
C.It’s easier to take good photos at night rather than during the day.

Imagine this: you and your friend are on a video call. He or she picks up a book, and you feel like you’re holding the book as well. You can shake hands or give your friend a high five, even though you’re apart.
A kind of special gloves might make this a reality. Researchers at the University of New South Wales, Australia, have made a pair of gloves that can recreate the sense of touch. They call it a “soft skin stretch device (SSD)”.
One user’s gloves create 3D force signals when they touch something. The signals are sent to the other user’s gloves, which vibrate(震动) to create the same force that the first user is experiencing. This allows the second user to experience the same sense of touch.
The SSD allows you to feel force, vibration and motion(移动). “It is like wearing a second skin,” said Thanh Nho Do, one of the researchers who created the gloves.
Although haptic technology(触觉技术) is already being widely used now, it is really difficult to recreate the sense of touch in virtual environments or remotely(远程地), according to Mai Thanh Thai, the leading researcher of the SSD project. However, the SSD is special because it has a high level of sensitivity even when it is used continuously. This makes it feel more realistic(真实的).
The SSD could be used in medical practice. Two doctors in separate places could work together during an operation—one touches the patient’s organs(器官) with the SSD while the other doctor has the same feeling and completes the actual operation.
31.What does “it” in Paragraph 2 refer to?
A.A video chat app. B.A special pair of gloves. C.A computer hard drive.
32.What is Paragraph 3 mainly about?
A.How the users like the SSD.B.What the SSD is used for. C.How the SSD works.
33.What does the underlinedd word “virtual” probably mean?
A.Imaginary. B.Realistic. C.Familiar.
34.Why does the SSD feel so realistic?
A.Because it is highly sensitive.B.Because it creates vibrations. C.Because it strengthens the senses.
35.What do we know from the story?
A.The SSD aims to improve video calls.
B.Haptic technology is too hard to use.
C.The SSD makes remote operations possible.

阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
During my teen years, I wasn’t an outgoing girl at all. I was never interested in volunteering. I just thought it was something people who had a lot of free time did. My opinion of volunteering changed when I started university. I heard new friends talk about all the ways they had helped others and, in return, had improved themselves.
I started volunteering when I was 19 years old. As an English major (英语专业学生), I volunteered in schools to teach children English. Later, I realized I wasn’t getting anything new out of my volunteer service. I decided to move out of my comfort zone (舒适区). I volunteered at different art festivals. These chances helped me to greatly improve my organizational (组织的) and communication skills.
The most important and life-changing volunteering experience for me is in the summer of 2019. It became clear for me that volunteering locally was not enough. It was time for me to try volunteering abroad. I spent a month and a half in Romania teaching English to children from poor families. That experience helped me to improve my teaching skills. I also completely changed myself. I met people from all over the world and learned to work together with them. Since then, I have made many international friends. These days, I am always able to do better than my co-workers (同事) whenever my job requires cross-cultural communication.
Volunteering is one of the best things you could ever do, both for yourself and for the people you are going to help along the way. Don’t ever hesitate (犹豫) to join the community of volunteers!
