Step1.Presentation
- Point to one student,asking:What do you look like?Present :I’m tall/of medium height/short. I’m heavy/of medium build/thin.I have long/short straight/curly black/brown hair.
- At the same time.write the new words and phrases on the blackboard.Then teach them.
- Ask students to read the new words and phrases together/ one by one.
Step2.Practice
1.Practice in pairs.What do you look like? I’m tall/of medium height/short. I’m heavy/of medium build/thin.I have long/short straight/curly black/brown hair.
2.Act it in class.
3.Practice in groups:What do does he /she look like?She’s?He’s tall/of medium height/short. She’s?He’s heavy/of medium build/thin.She/He has long/short straight/curly black.brown hair.
4.Act it in class
5.Ask students to match the words with the people in the picture in 1a.
6.Check the answers by students.
7..Let students read the phrases.together/one by one.
Step3.Listening
- Before listening,ask students to look through the pictures in 1a to predict the answers.
- Play the tape once.Students listen and fill in the blanks in 1a

- Read after the tape without books .
- Look at the listening materials on Page93,let students read together at first, then read in halves.
