During the two sessions (两会), Lei Jun, the founder (创始人) of China’s tech company Xiaomi, called for more e-waste recycling (回收利用) plans in China.
According to the 2020 UN Global E-waste Monitor, the world’s e-waste will reach 74.7 million tons by 2030.
The report also found that only 17.4 percent of the world’s e-waste was collected and recycled in 2019. This means that gold, silver, copper (铜) and other high-value materials were mostly burned or throw instead of reused. It’s a waste of 57 billion dollars, or 360 billion yuan. E-waste can also harm the environment and people’s health. For example, one mobile phone battery can pollute 600,000 liters of water.
China is now the world’s largest producer of e-waste, followed by the US, India and Japan, according to the UN report. Tech companies are looking for different ways to solve the problem. For example, US company Apple built a robot called Daisy to take 200 iPhones apart. It can take 200 iPhones apart within an hour. Previously the phones were cut up before people took the useful materials out. Now with Daisy, valuable materials can be pulled out more easily.
Samsung plans to use recycled materials in all of its new products by the year 2025. It also plans to reduce e-waste by improving product life cycles. Xiaomi is also setting up e-waste recycling platforms so that people can donate or sell their old electronics more easily.
11.What did Lei Jun advise people to do?
A.To reduce the use of e-products. B.To buy more smartphones.
    C.To recycle more e-waste. D.To improve China’s e-products.
12.In which year did the amount of e-waste reach about 74.7 million tons?
    A.2014. B.2019. C.2020. D.2030.
13.According to the passage, what can be caused by dumping e-waste?
A.Waste of materials. B.Harm to public health.
    C.Environmental pollution. D.A, B and C.
14.Why does the writer mention (提及) Apple’s Daisy, Samsung and Xiaomi?

B.To show people’s daily life in the US, Korea and China.

D.To advise our country to work together with others.

    Dear Disney,
Last weekend, the four members of my family spent a wonderful holiday at the magic Kingdom—Disneyland. And one event made our visit seem truly magical.
We got to the front of the line at Space Mountain, only to find out that our little daughter Gloria couldn’t take her ice-cream on the ride. We were so excited that we all forgot ice-cream was not allowed on the ride.
Gloria began to cry and we all had no idea what to do. Then Murphy, one of the staff (员工) members, came over. She bent down and told Gloria that she would hold the ice-cream for her and give it to her when she finished the ride. Gloria said, “Promise?” Then she gave Murphy her ice-cream, and she completely enjoyed the ride. Sure enough, as we walked out the exit, there was Gloria’s new friend with “her” ice-cream. Now you and I both know what happened, because we know that an ice-cream won’t last twenty minutes on a summer afternoon in Florida. Murphy knew what time we would get off the ride; she went to the nearest shop and bought a brand-new ice-cream thirty seconds before we walked out of the exit. Gloria said, “Thank you,” but I’m sure she thought it was the same ice-cream.
We know that someone tried hard to make our visit special. Thanks so much for going above and beyond!

(2022春·江苏无锡·八年级无锡市东林中学校考期中)Searching for parking spaces has long been a headache for many office workers in many big cities of China, especially for those working in central business districts. Parking near their companies for five days a week could cost them a lot of money. At the same time, even with prices for parking lots in residential areas(居民区) rising, most of their spaces remain idle during workdays.
Now a new form of sharing economy has appeared in China—the shared parking space. It has become a huge market in some big cities. In Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong, up to 10,000 personal parking spaces have been turned into shared ones with the help of “Airparking”, an online shared parking platform developed by a network company from Guangzhou.
Users can share and order a parking place by downloading and using a special app. Owners who have idle parking spaces can share some information, including the parking position, license number and time limit on the platform. With the information, users can easily find the nearest place to park. The average parking cost for shared parking is 4 yuan each hour, almost the same as the service cost in traditional parking spaces.
Qingdao is one of the Chinese cities that encourage shared parking. Some other big cites, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hefei, have also begun to try this idea. (2022春·江苏无锡·八年级统考期中)How to sing like a superstar is a question people have been asking for ages. We naturally admire(羡慕)the stars we want to sound like when we’re young and just experimenting(尝试)with singing. But as we get older, we find that we have our own voice.
In my opinion, you can only be a superstar if you find your own voice. If you want to sound great and attract(吸引)people, just get comfortable with your own voice. Do you think Bob Dylan has a great voice? Of course not, but people love his voice and his songs. One of the main reasons is that he’s very comfortable with himself and his own voice. So remember this when you’re asking yourself how to sing like a superstar.
I hate hearing many singers trying to imitate others! But it still happens all the time and yes, some of them do become famous by trying to sound like others. I just don’t feel like I’m listening to real art when I hear these so-called stars trying to imitate someone else with their voice.
Now one thing I like to do is to sing other people’s songs in my own voice. Yes, you can practice a great song by an artist you love while you’re driving down the road, but practice it in your own voice not his or her voice. Turn down the volume a little and hear your own natural voice singing the song and giving it a new flavor(特色)!
That’s exciting and you’re being true to yourself. We’re supposed to be artists and that means expressing ourselves in a unique(独特的)way. So if you’re asking how to sing like a superstar, remember to just use your own voice.
40.What can we infer from the text?
A.The writer is a famous singer.
B.Young people are likely to imitate the stars they love.
C.People love songs sung in a unique way.
D.It’s not real art to sing other people’s songs.
41.The underlined word “imitate” in Paragraph 3 is closest in meaning to ________?
    A.invent B.copy C.help D.like
42.What is the author’s attitude (态度) towards singers’ imitating other singers?
    A.Against. B.Not sure. C.Hopeful. D.Certain.

(2022春·江苏无锡·八年级校联考期中)It is believed in some ways that the daughter is father’s lover. But my experience has taught me in a different way. For a long time, my father has been a very vague (模糊的) figure to me. He was a man of few words, tall but slim and nothing else.
When I was in primary school, my father was never there to pick me up, and he never came to any of my parent-teacher meetings. He was always busy doing projects. I remember when I was in middle school and my head was badly hurt in a PE class. During my operation, my father was still busy with his work. This hurt me most. At that moment, I thought my father as a cold-blooded man who did not care about me at all.
But things seemed different. I would give a speech at my high school graduation ceremony (毕业典礼). My father, once again, couldn’t attend it because he had a business trip in a place outside the city. “Don’t come. I will be nervous if I see you.” I told him.
I remember my speech was successful. After the ceremony, I was about to leave. I suddenly noticed a man sitting in a corner of the hall. It was my father! I was so surprised that I rushed to him with tears running down my face. “Well done.” he said. His eyes were also filled with tears.
Later, I knew that my father had managed to finish his work by staying up late, and he drove for eight hours to get back. He sat in the corner because he didn’t want me to see him. My father remembered every word in my speech.
For much of my life, I described my father was a cold-blooded man who only cared about his work. But when I thought deeply about this, it was clearly not true. At my graduation ceremony I could feel my father’s deep love. The fact is that seeing is not believing, and seeing may not be the fact if we don’t perceive (感知) the world with our hearts and minds. J. K. Rowling is the writer of Harry Potter, which is now one of the best-selling book series in the world.
    J. K. Rowling was born in Bristol on July 31st, 1965. She has one sister who is two years younger than her. Both girls loved listening to their father read them stories. They especially loved stories about magical words. Rowling wrote her first story called Rabbit, at the age of six.
After she graduated (毕业) from university, Rowling worked as a translator in London. During this time on a long train trip in the summer of 1990, the idea of a boy who had magic but doesn’t know it came to her. In 1992, Rowling began to teach English.
