    My Shadw
    ---By Rbert Luis Stevensn
    I have a little shadw
    that ges in and ut with me,
    And what can be the use f him
    is mre than I can see.
    He is very, very like me
    frm the heels up t the head;
    And I see him jump befre me,
    when I jump int my bed.
    The funniest thing abut him is the way
    he likes t grw-
    Nt at all like prper children, which is
    always very slw; Fr he smetimes shts up taller like an
    India-rubber ball,
    And he smetimes gets s little that
    there's nne f him at all.
    It is fun that he hasn't gt an idea f hw
    children ught t play,
    And can nly make a fl f me in every
    kind f __▲__
    He stays s clse next t me, he's a
    Cward(胆小鬼)yu can see;
    I'd think it a shame t stick t a nurse as
    that shadw sticks t me!
    One mrning, very early, befre the sun
    was up,
    I rse and fund the shining dew(露珠)
    n every buttercup;
    But my lazy little shadw, like a naughty
    sleepy-head,
    Had stayed at hme behind me and was fast asleep in bed.
    Such is my lvely shadw!
