设计说明 本单元以乐队导入课堂,引导学生谈论相关话题,激发学生学习的兴趣,衔接教材上看照片、听录音的内容。然后通过听录音、结对练习、回答问题等训练,引导学生学习会话,培养学生阅读与交际的能力。指导学生学习会话中出现的知识点,提升解题能力。然后专项训练语调,最后通过做题,实际运用所学知识。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握本单元新单词及短语:bet, general, standard, feeling, difficulty, subject, add, recently, menu, you bet, the thing is, be in with a chance。 2. 能力目标 (1)能够听懂谈论拍摄照片的对话。 (2)能简单描述照片。 (3)能理解有关比赛的讨论。 (4)能运用定语从句描述自己的比赛经历。 3. 情感目标 通过摄影作品了解不同国家的风景、自然与文化;通过摄影作品培养审美意识,进而树立对他人的欣赏态度。 重点难点 重点:本单元的重点单词、短语、句型; which, who引导的定语从句 难点:能运用定语从句描述自己的比赛经历 教学准备 PPT课件,活动2、3、5的录音,乐队的照片,活动1的照片 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Ask and answer.
—What is this? —It is a band. —What is a band? —A band is a group of players who are playing different musical instruments to make a song. Step 2 Listening and vocabulary 1. Work in pairs. Look at the picture and say what is happening.
Possible answer: There are three people on the stage: one singer, one guitar player and one drummer. It might be a concert. 2. Listen and complete the sentences. 1 The boy ______________ is the guitar player. 2 The boy _______________ is the singer. 3 The boy _______________ is the drummer. (1)Tell students to listen to the recording and say if any of their ideas is correct. (2)Ask them to complete the sentences. Play the recoding again for them to check their answers. Daming advises Tony to take photos of Beijing and add some photos of Cambridge __________ recently. Tony had two photos for the competition: ※The first one is the photo of his cousin ____________ with Chinese kids in the Summer Palace. ※The second one is the photo of his cousin reading _____________ for the first time in Cambridge. 3)Check the answers together. You bet! 当然了! you bet是日常交际用语,意为“的确;当然;一定”,表示同意前面所说的内容,常用于口语中。 —Will you come to the party? 你会来参加晚会吗? —You bet! 当然会! —Are you going to tell her the truth? 你打算告诉她真相吗? —You bet! 的确是! 2. I have a feeling that we can solve these little difficulties. 我有一种感觉,我们能够解决这些小困难。 (1)feeling名词,意为“感觉;直觉;看法”,常用短语:have a feeling of sth.“有……的感觉”, have a feeling that...“感觉……”。 feeling的动词形式为feel“感觉,摸起来”, feel的过去式和过去分词均为felt。 I have a feeling that we are being followed. 我感觉我们正在被人跟踪。 I have a feeling of warmth when I am with my family. 我和家人在一起时感觉很温暖。 I have a feeling that he will fail the exam. 我感觉他会考试不及格。 (2)difficulty 名词, 意为“困难;困境”, 其复数形式为difficulties;其形容词为difficult。solve these little difficulties 意为 “解决这些小困难”。 Was he able to solve the difficulties by himself? 他自己能解决这些困难吗? It’s impossible to solve all these difficulties in one day. 一天内解决所有这些困难是不可能的。 [拓展] have difficulty in doing sth. 做某事有困难 without difficulty 轻而易举地 be in difficulty 处境困难 get/run into difficulty 陷入困境 3. Why don’t you do sth. ?意为“你/你们为什么不做某事呢?”,为提出建议的句型,其同义句为Why not do sth. ? 在本课,提出建议的句子还有What about that photo of my cousin flying kites with Chinese kids in the Summer Palace?“我堂兄在颐和园和中国孩子放风筝的那张照片怎么样?”。 Why don’t you go to the beach for swimming and surfing? 你为什么不去沙滩游泳、冲浪呢? What about visiting Australia? 游览澳大利亚怎么样? 4. Take some photos of Beijing and add some photos of Cambridge that you took recently. 拍一些北京的照片并加上一些你最近拍的剑桥的照片。 add动词, 意为“添加”。常用短语: (1)add to“添加,增添”,其宾语多是表示困难、欢乐等的抽象名词。 The music added to our enjoyment. 音乐给我们增添了快乐。 The heavy snow added to our difficulty. 大雪增加了我们的困难。 (2)add.... to...意为“把……加到……里”。 Please add some salt to the soup. 请往汤里加些盐。 5. I’m sure you’re in with a chance! 我肯定你有机会赢得比赛! be in with a chance 意为“有可能;有机会”,其后常接of doing sth. 。 I think I’m in with a chance of getting the job. 我认为我有可能获得这份工作。 I think we’re in with a good chance of beating them. 我认为我们很有可能打败他们。 Step 4 Practice 1.
