Step 1: Warm up
T: Let’s review the Cartoon time.
Step 2: Presentation
- T: Let’s play a game. Speak out the word loudly as quickly as you can.
- T: So ticking time. I can name the months of the year. How many stars can you have?
- T: This is the Spring Festival. We can ask “When’s...”
S1: When’s the Spring Festival?
S2: It’s in January or February.
T: What do people do at this festival?
S3: They get together with families.
T: What do people eat at this festival?
S4: They eat dumplings.
- T: Work in pairs. Talk about these festivals. Ask and answer.

- T: There are some other festivals. They are Christmas, Mother’s Day, Halloween, New Year’s Day and Teachers’ Day. What’s your favourite festival? Why? Let’s talk.
- T: Now for example, my favourite festival is the Spring Festival. Who can complete it?
- T: Please think about your favourite festival and write down it at page 77.
- T: So ticking time. I can talk about some Chinese festivals. How many stars can you have?
- T: Do you remember Sound time? Let’s read with the radio together.
