1.单数名词变为复数名词的规则变化
1.常见的24个不可数名词
具有某种特性、状态、情感的抽象名词在表示具体的概念时，可以与不定冠词连用。这就是抽象名词的具体化。

1.根据修饰词确定名词的单复数形式
(1)不定冠词a，an后用名词单数形式；(2)有these，thse，several，many，all，bth，a pair f，a variety f，different或数词等修饰时名词用复数形式；(3)名词前有ne f，amng时用名词复数形式。
【典例】　There’s n denying that different judges have different ________ (apprach) t these cases.
解析　由空前的different可知应填复数形式，故用appraches。
答案　appraches

2.根据谓语动词确定名词的单复数形式
名词作主语时，如果一般现在时的谓语动词是动词原形或are，要考虑用名词的复数形式。
【典例】　While there are amazing stries f instant transfrmatin，fr mst f us，the ________(change) are gradual and require a lt f effrt and wrk，like cleaning up a plluted river.
解析　由空后的谓语动词are可知应填复数形式，故用changes。
