    Para. 1:bend dwn: [输出词块] 弯下腰hug sb gdbye: [输出词块] 和某人拥抱告别 (类似表达 kiss / wave sb gdbye)get the better f sb: [认知词块] (某种情感) 占上风 e.g. My curisity finally gt the better f me and I pened the letter.长难句:He std up, hugged his parents, and smiled, trying nt t let his emtins get the better f him.译文:他站起来,微笑着拥抱了父母,尽量不让情绪失控。分析:std、hugged和smiled 三个动词表示三个连续的动作,trying为现在分词作伴随状语。
    His parents were nt quite able t keep theirs under cntrl. They had driven their sn several hurs ut f twn t the university where he wuld sn be living and studying. It was time t say gdbye fr nw at least. The family hugged and smiled thrugh misty eyes and then laughed.
    Para. 2:keep … under cntrl: [输出词块] 控制住drive sb t smeplace: [输出词块] 开车送某人去某处misty eyes: [认知词块] 泪眼模糊的双眼 (misty为mist“薄雾”的派生词,意为“多雾的;泪眼模糊的”;有合成词misty-eyed,意为“泪眼朦胧的”)长难句:They had driven their sn several hurs ut f twn t the university where he wuld sn be living and studying.译文:他们开车几个小时送儿子出城去上大学,他即将在那里学习生活。分析:where引导定语从句修饰先行词the university 。

The by’s mther turned t the dg, “Okay, Pppy, time t g back hme.”

    The huse seemed quiet as a tmb withut the by living there. All that week, Pppy didn’t seem interested in her dinner, her favrite ty, r even in her daily walk. Her wners were sad t, but they knew their sn wuld be back t visit, Pppy didn’t.They ffered the dg sme f her favrite peanut butter treats. They even let her sit n the sfa, but the ld girl just wasn’t her usual cheerful self. Her wners started t get wrried, “What shuld we d t cheer Pppy up?” asked Dad. “We’ve tried everything.”

    Para. 6 ~ 7
    “I have an idea, but it might be a little crazy,” smiled Mm. “Withut anybdy left in the huse but us, this place culd use a bit f fun. Let’s get a little dg fr Pppy.”It didn’t take lng befre they walked thrugh the frnt dr carrying a big bx. Pppy welcmed them hme as usual, but when she saw the bx, she stpped. She put her nse n it. Her tail began wagging (摆动) ever s slwly, then faster as she caught the smell.
    Para. 6 ~ 7:长难句:Withut anybdy left in the huse but us, this place culd use a bit f fun.译文:除了我们,家里没有别人了,可以找点开心的事情做。分析:withut anyne left in the huse为withut的复合结构作状语。but意为“除了”。写作金句:It didn’t take lng befre they walked thrugh the frnt dr carrying a big bx. 译文:没过多久,他们就提着一个大箱子从前门走了进来。分析:it desn’t take lng / isn’t lng befre … 表示“没过多久就……”;类似句型有it takes / is sme time befre … 表示“过了多久才……”。如:It was sme time befre I realized the truth.treat: [熟词生义] (尤指不经常吃的) 美味食物wasn’t her usual cheerful self: [认知词块] 不像她往常那样开心cheer sb up: [输出词块] 使某人高兴起来
    Step II 结构梳理
    教学目标:1.分析文章结构,了解故事梗概。2.分析文章用词(尤其是动作和情感表达),体会人物情感变化。3.抓住故事发展方向,为续写打基础。
    人物情感分析:Para 1 ~ 3
    动作描写:bent dwn t hug , hug, smiled thrugh misty eyes, flashed a bright smile, laughed, ndded, watched情感描写: trying nt t let his emtins get the better f him, nt quite able t keep theirs under cntrl
    They felt sad t say gdbye.
    人物情感分析:Para 4 ~ 5
    对家的描写: quiet as a tmb对Pppy的描写:didn’t seem interested in, wasn’t her usual cheerful self;并通过反复使用even, favrite来衬托Pppy的心情对父母的描写:started t get wrried
    They were sad and lnely withut the by at hme, especially Pppy.
    人物情感分析:Para 6 ~ 7
    对父母的描写: have an idea, might be a little crazy, walked thrugh the frnt dr carrying a big bx对Pppy的描写:as usual, saw, stpped, put her nse n it, wagging ever s slwly, caught the smell, faster
    Pppy became excited as a new friend came.
    Participants(人物):Pppy, parents, by, dg Events(事件): university, hugged, watched, back, cheerful, bx
    Dad pened the bx and a sweet little dg appeared. Then the bx tipped ver sideways, and ut came the little dg. Pppy was amazed t see the little ne. She watched it, wagged her tails and then barked with jy. The little ne was nt shy and immediately started running and jumping arund the lder dg. “That didn’t take lng,” remarked Mm, as bth dgs went running arund the huse cheerfully. Dad laughed.
    A few weeks later, the by arrived hme frm university. He had missed Pppy and his parents and was lking frward t seeing them. When he bent dwn t give Pppy a big hug, he fell ver in surprise as the little dg suddenly appeared and raced up t lick his face t. “Oh my gd, wh is this?” the by asked. His parents laughed at the lk f shck n his face and said, “That’s Pee-wee, a new friend fr Pppy.”
