教学目标
1、掌握本课时的常用词汇, 如:dish, chopstick, hamburger, sandwich, hot dog, apple pie, wine, habit, hostess, spoon, smelly, several, raw fish, knife, fork, roast, beef, separate
2、通过阅读课文,了解中外饮食习惯的差异。
3、能运用skimming和scanning这两种阅读技巧去理解文章的大意。
学情分析
本节课要充分应用分层教学,针对不同层次学生,布置不同的学习任务,让所有学生都参与进课堂教学中。本节课所讲的内容,是关于食物的,学生也会更加有兴趣。因此,要充分利用这一点,积极引导学生参与学习。
重点难点
1、通过学习掌握高频词和词组的拼写和运用。
2、学习重点句型以及现在完成时的结构。
3、了解中西饮食文化的差异。
教学过程
【导入】Preparation
1. Show a real hamburger and some pictures of food from different countries on the screen. Guide the Ss to find out the names of the food and from which country people like the food.(T: What are they? Where are the from?)
2. Present some pictures and have a free talk with the Ss about their eating experience. Talk about the pictures and put some new words on in the pictures and teach them.

3. Have the Ss finish Ex A1 on P98. Check the answers orally, suing the PPT. Explain some difficult words in the statements

The Ss watch the things and the pictures carefully. Try to answer T’s questions. Try to find out the names of the food and from which country people like the food.
