Step2. What’s the weather like tday? It’s windy. T: In summer, is it ht? (Ss: Yes, it is. It’s ht.) T: S what abut nw? What’s the weather like tday? (Ss: It’s warm.)(Teach warm) T: What abut in fall? (Prmpt cl)T: In spring, it’s ften rainy. S we can say, it’s rainy. Lk at the flr, it’s wet. (Teach wet) (In summer, prmpt dry-----Pair wrk
Make the desk messy, T: lk at the desk, there are s many things, it’s messy. (Teach “messy”.) After d ut the things, we can say, “It’s tidy nw.” (Teach tidy)
Step3. Listen t the sng “what can we d?”
Have Ss lk at the pictures n the page. (Pint t the picture n the left) Is this bedrm tidy? (Ss: N, it’s messy.) T: What can we d? (Ss: We can make it tidy.)
T: (pint t the picture n the right.) It was messy but nw it’s tidy.
Play the tape and pint t each wrd as it is sung. Play again t have Ss practice singing.
Step4.watch TV with cnversatin. Listen t the tape and read the stry. (Play the tape and have Ss lk at the pictures and dialg in their bks.)
Put Ss int pairs t practice acting ut the dialg.
Step5, Play a game.
Step6, Hmewrk: recite the new wrds.

Revisin: the wrds and the sentences.
Step2. Put picture cards in pairs n the bard. Ask Ss t write the crrect wrd underneath each picture.
Mdel mre sentences and have Ss practice.
Ask individual Ss t read ut the sentences. Play the tape, pausing after each sentence fr Ss t repeat.
Step3. Ask fur Ss t write the questins n the bard. And ask anther fur t read the questins alud.
Have Ss lk at the pictures. (Pint t each picture) T: listen t the tape and chse the right answers.
Step4. Listen t the sng “what can we d?” again, then ask : what’s yur bedrm like? (It’s messy.) T: What was yur bedrm like yesterday? (It’s tidy.) Pair wrks with Practice 2.
Ask sme grups t perfrm their Q and A exchanges fr the class.
Step5. Have Ss lk at the pictures n page50.
Write, “They were ___befre but they’re ___nw ” n the bard.
T: pint t the picture n the right. Are the rivers clean? (Ss: Yes, they are clean.)
Ask a student t write Dirty and Clean in the blanks n the bard.
T: Nw, fill in the blanks n the page. (Give Ss time t finish writing.) Then check it. (Have Ss read the sentences alud.)
Play the music. Ss sing the riginal sng with the recrded vices, and then sing the new lyrics with the karake versin.
Step6, Hmewrk. Sing the sng freely.

Step2. Shw t the class the realia f a pstcard.
T: What’s this? (Ss: It’s a pstcard.) Mdel respnse if necessary.
Have Ss lk at the page. Then ask a vlunteer t read ut the message n the pstcard in the bk. Have anther student write the questin “What was the weather like yesterday?” n the bard.T: read ut the answer tgether. (Ss: Yesterday it was cl and dry.) Write the sentence underneath the questin.
T: Nw try t answer Questin2—5 n the page.
Give Ss time t fill in the blanks. Walk arund the classrm t prvide help if needed.
Step3. Write: “muse, cw, suth, suth, muth, huse, lud” at randm n the bard. Have Ss lk at the bard. Underline the letters u r w in the wrds.
Let Ss repeat, pay mre attentin t the prnunciatin. Make sure Ss’ muths are pen with runded lips, and then clse their muth-tightened lips.
Step4. Write “ lud, sund, cw, brwn, grund” n the bard. Have Ss underline the sund in cmmn f these wrds “u, w”.
Explain t the Ss the meaning f the phrase shakes the grund.
Play the tape and have Ss pint t each wrd as the tape says it.
Play the tape again and have Ss practice chanting. Divide Ss int six grups and have each grup chant in their wn creative way.
