Automata are built to look like humans or animals and give the illusion(错觉)of being able to move on their own, "The art form amazes me, because it combines various skills, from storytelling to mechanics, and the pieces are built with a sense of humor,”  Yu says. His creations have caught the attention of well-known artists and his fancy pieces of art have attracted collectors worldwide.Interested in handcrafts as a boy, Yu first encountered automata designed by Japanese artist Kazuaki at an exhibition in 2015 when he studied at the Communication University of China in Beijing. "It was like meeting a like-minded friend, Yu says, recalling the moment. As an art and design major, he began to learn the craft by himself and, with the support of his tutor, he kept studying and examining automata in school. When he graduated in 2016, Yu landed a job at an advertising agency in Beijing. He stayed on at the company for three years because, at that time, he was not sure that he could make a living out of his hobby. While working as a designer Yu kept exploring and advancing his skills in wood carving and mechanics. Eventually, despite the job's good salary, it was not enough to make up for not following his true passion. Finally, in 2018, Yu quit his job and returned to Chengdu to open his automata workshop. To keep himself occupied while running his workshop, he planted blueberries, raspberries and cherries. He watered, weeded and added fertilizer(肥料)every day. Daily routines helped me calm down and inspire my creativity, which resulted in an automaton called To Observe the Autumn, ” Yu says.Over time, Yu's reputation grew and his business flourished (兴旺).Many of Yu's creations are built with a dash of wisdom, a sprinkle of humor and are inspired by observations of real life. Yu knows that there are many more creative ideas waiting to be expressed. "It feels quite good to be fully devoted to automata creation and I am still searching for myself.24.What can we learn from the first paragraph?

It was shared with the WHO immediately, and has now become an important foundation for global researchers in the fight against the COVID-19. But first, let us turn the clock back 17 years, when it took months to identify the SARS virus. From months to 14 days, what changed? It turns out AI played an important part. The scientists first obtained bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid (支气管扩张灌洗液) samples from patients, isolated (分离) the DNA and RNA, then sequenced the genetic material by comparing them. AI’s advantage is its ability to recognize patterns among a flood of data.Let me put it in a simple way. Sequencing the coronavirus genome (基因组) is similar to looking for a needle in a haystack (干草堆)---looking for genotypes (基因型) with specific characteristics from a huge gene pool. That’s where search algorithm (算法), a branch of modern AI, comes in. Think of it as an efficient search engine, which can find the needle in the haystack. This search algorithm can shorten months-long genetic sequencing to weeks or even just a few days. Combined with macro-genomic sequencing and a virus library, this AI technology can also be used in tracking virus mutation (突变).AI doesn’t just support scientists. It can also help patients by improving the efficiency of diagnosis (诊断). China launched a Genomics Service, which can run multiple virus gene comparisons and produce a detailed report within 60 seconds. This algorithm has been put into use in China and shared to the world for free.28.AI’s advantage is that it can________.
A.slow down the spread of coronavirus
    B.separate DNA from RNA
    C.identify specific genotypes rapidly
D.obtain samples from patients quickly29.The search algorithm helps shorten the time of genetic sequencing by __________.
    A.finding a needle in a haystack
    B.serving as a search engine
    C.combining with a virus library
D.tracing virus mutation30.What do we know about the Genomics Service in the last paragraph?
A.It has been widely used in the world.
B.It is mainly based on blood test.
C.It is used for fast diagnosis of COVID-19.
D.It is used to track COVID-19 patients.31.What’s the best title of the passage?
    A.14 Days---China Made it! B.AI Assists in COVID-19 Fight
C.Search Algorithm, Best Choice D.China’s Genomics ServiceDThe history of the flying car is almost as old as that of powered flight itself. It started with the Curtiss Autoplane of 1917, an awkward-looking machine with removable wings. It never left the ground. Later machines made it into the skies but failed to take off commercially. Money is now pouring into flying taxis. On March 30th Lilium, a German company that develops them, announced a merger with SPAC, an acquisition company that values it at $3. 3 bn -a sign that investors think the business will fly.     Thanks to better batteries and lightweight materials, some of them are ready to carry passengers. Up to 300 firms are working on short-range battery-powered craft that take off and land vertically. Carmakers, tech companies and others are investing money into the field. The government is offering a glide path to certification. America's Federal Aviation Administration is engaged in the process with around 30 firms, says Natasha Santha of LEK, a consulting company.     Midway between a cab and a helicopter, flying taxis have distinct advantages over both. Quiet electric motors allow them to operate frequent services. They require only a patch of concrete to land, unlike noisy helicopters, which face severe operating restrictions in most cities. They can fly four or five times faster than a cab can drive and do not get stuck in traffic. Prices can be kept low by ride-sharing. Joby, based in California, says its five-seater machine will enter commercial service in 2024. The firm calculates the initial cost of around $4 per person per mile may soon fall by 25%. A trip from Manhattan to JFK airport would then cost $30-40 per passenger.     The real revolution will come when full autonomy takes out the cost of a pilot. Archer hopes to run such aircraft by 2028. They face fewer obstacles in the air than earth-bound cars do on the road airliners mostly fly on autopilot as it is. Still, as one industry insider puts it, it is probably best to accustom passengers and regulators to airborne taxis before getting rid of the driver.32. What can we learn from Paragraph 1?A. The flying car can date back to the 1920B. Investors see the potential of the business of the flying car C. The flying car never left the ground successfully in history D. A German company has launched a new flying car into the market33. What does "offering a glide path" in Paragraph 2 probably refer toA. Giving the green light  B. Providing timely assistance C. Presenting legal guidance  D. Conducting strict management34. Which of the following is the strength of flying taxis? A. Costing as little as cabs  B. Saving passengers from the traffic jam C. Reducing air pollution   D. Having no operating restrictions35. What can be inferred about the flying taxis from the last paragraphA. They will develop faster than cars B. Passengers will quickly get used to taking them C. The regulators will take measures to promote them D. Autopilot flying taxis will probably replace those with pilots第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分,满分12. 5分)阅读下面短文,从短文后的选中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为 多余选项。Think “art”. What comes to your mind? Is it sculptures in the Louvre, or Chinese painting in the Palace Museum? Or maybe, just maybe, it’s a dancing pattern of lights? The artworks by American artist Janet Echelman look like colorful floating clouds when lit up at night. Visitors can not only enjoy looking at them, they can also interact with them - literally.    36    Exhibits such as these are certainly new and exciting, but are they really art?Whatever your opinion, people have been expressing their thoughts through art with various tools and technologies for thousands of years. Yet Michelangelo and others have been labelled as “artists” rather than “technicians”.     37     Today, however, technological advances have led to a combination of art and technology. As a result, the art world is changing greatly.      38    Take for example one of China’s most famous paintings, Along the River During the Qingming Festival. As this artwork is rarely on display, people have sometimes queued a long time for a chance to see it. Thanks to technology however, millions more people have been able to experience a digital version of it with 3D animation.     39    Not only can we interact with art, but also take part in its creation. With new technological tools at our fingertips, more and more people have created exciting new art forms, such as digital paintings and videos. However, such developments are making the line between art and technology less distinct. Is the artist the creator of the art itself, or the maker of the technology behind it?     40    But one thing is for sure - with so many artists exploring new possibilities, we can definitely expect the unexpected.A. Now art is more accessible to us than ever before.B. Where technology will take art next is anyone’s guess.C. It’s not important whether they are artists or technicians.D. They do this by using their phones to change their colors and patterns.E. They watch as the different scenes change from daylight into nighttime.F. The art-tech combination is also changing our concepts of “art” and the “artist”.G. This means that art and technology have always been seen as two very separate things.第三部分 语言运用共两节满分30第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分)阅读下面短文,从每题所给的ABCD四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。Every year, many dolphins worldwide are captured(捕获)and kept in small pools, performing for people, especially children. I decided to make a beautiful coop (鸡笼) for them. In the next few weeks, I, together with my son Gordon, spent all our spare time in the garage. Finally, the coop was finished. While admiring his well-made handwork, Gordon suddenly raised his head and asked, “Dad, shall we lock the chicks in the coop all the time? I am afraid they will be attacked by some fierce animals or become someone’s chicken soup?” Seeing his anxious look, I cracked a smile and asked, “Do you want to be trapped in a limited room or have the freedom to get around?” Hesitant for a while, he murmured, “Freedom, of course.” “Chicks will also think so.” Therefore, our chicks were often seen chasing around in the lawns (草坪), digging for bugs in the bushes and laying eggs in the yard.Yesterday, we needed to go downtown to shop for food supply after lunch. Knowing that the chicks wouldn’t go very far, we left home with them running around the lawn. When we got back, the first thing Gordon did was to check on his chicks. There were only three chicks in the yard. Their feathers were no longer fair and smooth but dirty and tangled (乱糟糟的). Hearing our steps, they jumped to their feet and scattered in all directions, seeming to have just experienced a terrifying disaster. Worse still, Pecky, Gordon’s favourite chick was nowhere to be found. We searched the yard inch by inch and found some feathers littering the yard. Seeing this, Gordon’s eyes got watery. I picked Gordon up and comforted him. As we began to accept the fact that we were now a three-chick family, we heard it---a soft clucking (咯咯声) sound under a bush.注意:1. 所续写短文的词数应为150左右;2. 续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好; Para1:      I put Gordon down and we looked under the bush. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Para2:      The next day Gordon offered to have a talk with me. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
