Antonio’s daughter Clara liked her father’s workshop. She loved to look at all of the beautiful and colorful products he created. One day, she walked into the workshop and her father was there, standing beside two glass vases (花瓶) .
“Do you like them, Clara?” he asked proudly. “I have made them for Mr. Lombardi, the great writer here in Venice.”
    “They’re beautiful, Father,” Clara said.
“I must go and get Mr. Lombardi,” said her father. Then, he left the workshop.Clara looked at the vases. Beside them was a note. Clara read the note and smiled. As sheturned, she bumped the vases.
“No!” She tried to catch them, but it was too late. They fell to the ground and broke into many pieces. Only the round bases (底部) at the bottom were not broken. “What will I tell Father?”She held the piece in front of her carefully.
It was then that she saw Mr. Lombardi’s note as she looked through the glass. The letters were... BIG!
Clara picked up the other base and looked through it. It worked, too! The words looked bigger!
Clara thought quickly. She found a wire (金属丝) and carefully wrapped (缠绕) it around the two glass pieces—a pair of glasses was made in such a way.
As Clara finished, Mr. Lombardi and her father walked in.
“Now let me show you the... ”Clara’s father stopped, and stared at the broken vases on the floor, “Oh, Clara!”
“I’m so sorry, Father,” Clara said in a low voice.
Mr. Lombardi looked at the two pieces of glass in a wire frame in Clara’s hand. “What do you have there?” he asked.
“I made it from the broken piece,” said Clara. “Look through them.” She held up the note for him to see.
Mr. Lombardi’s eyes opened wide. “The words! They’re big!” He looked at Clara’s father, “My wife can’t read my books because of her eyes. This will be my gift to her! It will be the greatest gift ever!”

①Does every dinner with your parents seem to turn into an argument(争吵)? Have your once warm conversations become cold? You are not alone. Heated arguments and cold silences are common between teenagers and their parents.
②Teenagers’physical(身体的)changes may cause such family problems. You may feel worried that you are developing at a different speed to your friends, shooting up in height or getting left far behind. You might worry about your changing voice and weight problems. When it all gets too much, your parents are often the first goals of your anger.
③It can be a big headache to balance your developing mental(精神的)needs too. You enter a strange middle ground--no longer a small child but not quite an adult. You have both a new hope for independence and a continued need for your parents’love and support. You feel ready to be more responsible and make decisions on your own. Unluckily, your parents do not always agree and that makes you feel unhappy.“Why can’t they just let me go?” You may wonder. On the other hand, when you are trying to control your feelings, you wish they could be more caring and patient-- sometimes they forget that growing up is a hard ride. It can be difficult when your parents treat you like a child but expect you to act like an adult. All of this can lead to a breakdown in your relationship.
④▲. The key to keeping the peace is regular and honest communication. When you disagree with your parents, take a minute to calm down and try to understand the situation from their point of view. Perhaps they have experienced something similar and do not want you to go through the same pain. After you have thought it through, explain your actions and feelings calmly, listen carefully, and address their concerns. Through this kind of healthy discussion, you will learn when to back down and when to ask your parents to relax their control.
⑤Just remember that it is normal to fight with the stress and that you and your parents can work together to improve your relationship. The good news is that this stormy time will not last. Everything will turn out all right in the end, and the changes and challenges of your teenage years will prepare you for adulthood.
42.The writer leads into the topic by___________.
A .listing numbers B. giving examples
    C. asking questions D. telling stories
43.Which of the following can be the best to fill in ▲ in paragraph 4?
    A. But how could it happen? B. When will it come to an end?
    C. So who can help you get it out? D. So what can you do to solve it?
    44. Which of the following is the structure(结构) of the passage?

    A.
