专题13 应用文写作之求助信

◇ 写作点拨 ◇

求助信是当个人遇到一些自己无法解决的问题或困难时向别人请求帮助的一种书信。求助信分“三步走”：

第一段： 表明写信目的，请求帮助；

第二段：陈述请求帮助的具体内容；

第三段：希望得到帮助。

◇ 词句模板 ◇

1. 求助信开头的表达句式：

(1) I’m writing to ask for/get some help. / I’m writing to ask whether you can give me help.

(2) I’m sorry that I have to ask a favor of you, with the hope that you will be kind to help me.

(3) Sorry to bother you but I really get some problems recently.

(4) I make bold to write this letter to ask you to do me a favor.

2. 求助信描述困难的表达句式：

(1）But I have met some difficuties with/in ……

(2）But unfortunately, I’m encountering difficulty in…

(3）Faced with/Facing so much difficulty, I have to ask you for some help.

(4）I face the choice between…and…

(5）It’s really hard for me to decide/deal with …

3. 求助信表达希望得到帮助的句型：

(1) Expecting your writing back soon.

(2) Looking forward to/Hoping for your early reply.

(4) I wonder if you can help me with these difficulties. I really appreicate it if you could help me.

(5) I believe I will benefit a lot from your valuable and timely advice.

4.过渡性词汇

列举困难时: first, besides, also,what’s more, at the same time, in the meanwhile, in addition,...

Dear Abbey,

 I am Li Hua, a high school boy from China. I am writing to ask for some advice about a personal matter.

My short height has troubled / upset me for years. For one thing, it prevents me from practising many sports that I really wish to take up, in particular, basketball. You never know how I envy those tall guys, who can easily get the ball in this game. For another, which is the more bitter part, I can no longer put up with(忍受) / tolerate my classmates' unkind / mean jokes about my height. It seems to remain forever the only topic whenever they start a chat about me.

 I wonder if you could give me some professional advice on increasing my height. More importantly, what am I supposed to do with these hurting jokes? I thought about fighting back but I was worried it would go beyond control.
