Yosemite National Park has long been a place of inspiration for artists, climbers, and nature lovers.
Yosemite Falls
Repeatedly popping into view over treetops and around comers as you drive through the valley, the falls look different from every angle, and it's impossible to take your eyes off. You don't have to hike or even get out of your car to appreciate this waterfall, but the most complete view of the falls is from the start of the Yosemite Falls hike, along the route on the left side of the river. You can walk right to the base of the falls with minimal effort and feel the mist sweeping over you.
Half Dome
Half Dome is one of Yosemite's most famous sites and particularly well-known in the climbing world for being one of the first "big climbs”. This granite icon looks much different depending on the angle you are viewing it from. Looking up at the sheer rock face from the valley, the enormity of the wall is obvious, and you can appreciate why climbers have been drawn here. The best place to view it is from the lookout at Glacier Point. Fromhere, you get a true picture of the rock and how much higher it stands than the surrounding mountains.
El Capitan
Popular among climbers, El Capitan is a 3,000-foot sheer rock face on the north side of Yosemite Valley. Although it may not seem like it, El Capitan is actually 1,000 feet higher than the face of Half Dome. El Capitan gained interest with the free solo climb of Alex Honnold in June of 2017,and the Academy Award winning documentary film, Free Solo. He became the first person to climb El Capitan without ropes, and completely unaided.
Tunnel View
The most classic view of Yosemite Valley is from Tunnel View. This vista, which will feel very familiar to most visitors, stretches out to El Capitan on the left,Bridalveil Fall on the right,Half Dome in the distance, and also takes in the lush valley at the base of the huge granite walls. The best time to appreciate this scene is in the aftermoon, when the walls are bathed in sunlight.

I was born with nemaline rod muscular myopathy, which is a rare disease and makes me weak. Therefore,I use an electric wheelchair to get around and a ventilator(呼吸机)to help me breathe. So I have the unusual body shape, a size 6 everywhere else and a size 12 in my waist.
Growing up, I’d always loved fashion, but in my later teens, I really discovered my style-classic modem. Historie designs are generating interest in China.Over the past year, more people have visited museums online than in real life. And the number of visits to museum design stores on Tmall alone has topped 1.6 billion.Of these visits,100 million users were "post 1990s".
Museum IP,considered to be an intangible cultural asset(无形的文化资产),is now attracting great interest from China's younger generation. In 2013,the Forbidden City Museum in Beijing first requested product design ideas from the public for a cultural and creative design competition. The end results included luggage tags, folding fans, and many other products. Its cooperation with Chinese beauty brand Pechoin followed to launch the first lipstick. Even in 2017 the museum earned more than 1 billion RMB through cultural and creative products.
After witnessing the huge commercial potential of cultural and creative products, many other Chinese museums have followed the Forbidden City Museum's example. In July,Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan Province removed the cover on Sanxingdui masks, with toy character designs inspired by Sanxingdui cultural relics.Dunhuang Academy launched a Tianlong Babu blind box (a gift box with a random mixture inside) based on its frescoes(壁画).The Henan Museum has launched an archacological blind box complete with mini play drilling tools that consumers must use to access the toys inside.

In 2019,the world generated 54.6 million tons of e-waste.However,just 17.4 percent of it was formally collected and recycled.Since 2014,the amount of e-waste recycled has grown by 1.8 million tons-a relatively small amount, considering that the amount of e-waste generated increased by 9.2 million tons in the same period.
Global reserves of some elements, such as platinum(铂),are supposed to be fully used up within 15 years if the proportion of recycled stocks entering production doesn't inerease. E-waste and EV batteries are currently recycled through processes called pyrometallurgy(火法冶金术) and hydrometallurgy(湿法冶金术).However, they involve buming temperatures with a high energy demand and deep carbon footprint, and poisonous chemicals which are harmful to the environment. Altematives are therefore being sought.
A team of scientists from the University of Coventry are extending one such alternative. They have been using non-poisonous bacteria to oxidize(使氧化)and recover the precious metals-a process known as “bioleaching".They have shown that copper is widely recoverable from e-waste, and that all metals present in EV batteries can be recovered by using mierobes(微生物).If extended, bioleaching facilities wouldmean that manufacturers of EV batteries and other electronic goods would be able to recover metals locally, relying less on costly exports to recycling centers abroad.
"At present, a key limitation for e-waste recycling is the lack of certification detailing the types and amounts of metals contained in electronic goods. Bui with an efficient recycling process appearing, manufacturers have the motivation to use more recycled material in their products, which will change the very design of electronics goods. It's about closing the loop of a product's
life cycle," said the leader of the Bioleaching Research Group,Sebastien Famaud.
Ultimately, bioleaching lechnology is born out of the idea of creating a truly circular process for the things that we consume. We need to shift from a mindset and economy where we see waste as an end product, to one where there isn't even a start or an end at all.
32.What do the statistics in paragraph 1 indicate?
A.People pay no attention to e-waste recycling.
B.The recycling rate of e-waste is comparatively low.
C.E-waste has caused serious environmental problems.
D.The amount of e-waste is sharply increasing every year.
33.What is the disadvantage of current ways of recycling e-waste?
A.They only apply to certain e-waste.
B.They are not environmentally friendly.
C.They generate metals with a complex process.
D.They cause a sharp rise in local temperatures.
34:What do we know about the bioleaching technology?
A.It has been applied abroad. B.It relenses no poisonous gas.
C.It recovers metals by microbes. D.It promotes the local export trade.
35.The text is most probably a part of
A.a news report B.a fiction novel
