四年级的学生通过一年半的英语的入门学习，已经积累了一定数量的词汇和语句，可以完成简单的日常对话，这就为本节课的学习奠定了一定的基础。而本节课是以一个mnster为主人公展开，能充分激发学生的想象力，使其乐于表演。

a.学生能够利用上下文、插图以及已有的知识理解故事内容，把握细节信息。
b.学生能在图片或教师帮助下表演故事。
2）能力目标
a. 学生能够听懂和理解这个故事。
b .学生能够就故事进行提问和回答。
c .学生能够根据图片和图表复述这个简单的故事。
3）情感、态度、价值观
通过学习本课故事，激发学生读英语小故事的兴趣，增强给他人讲英语故事的自信心。

重点：a .复习本单元重要句型.
b .通过读故事，提高学生的阅读及听力理解能力，培养英语学习的兴趣。
难点：听懂并理解故事内容，并能运用所学知识进行口语交际。
