By the time I reached hme, I had the bx n my knees, tearing at the clred string that bund it. There in the bx lay 20 clrful pencils and a cllectin f clring paper drawn by Mrs. Lng. The pictures were s beautiful that I fell in lve with them immediately.
It was nt until sme years later that I realized the real imprtance f the gift. It was much mre significant than a baseball glve r a pair f skates, which wuld just satisfy a temprary desire. But the great present Mrs. Lng gave me pened a windw t a ttally new wrld. Her gift was exactly what I needed, and it reached me at the time when I was best able t cmprehend it.
