讲授新课 | Step2 Presentation 1. Ask Ss to read the good and bad points of having a robot. 2. Fill in the blanks and check their answers. Step3 Discussion Ask Ss to have a discussion. Topic 1.If you are the owner of the broken robot in the text , what will you do? 2. Having a robot or do it myself ? 3. Should we ask robots to do all the work for us? What is your idea? Step3 Reading 1. Fast reading Ask Ss to read the conversation quickly. Then answer thequestions: 1).What are Daniel and Millie doing? 2).What are they talking about? 2. Carerful reading Ask Ss to read the conversaion carefully, then answer the questions: 1). Could a robot cook? 2). Could Millie mix the robot by himself? 3.Read the conversation again and judge True or False. Give them some help if necessary. 4. Practice Ask Ss to fill in the blanks to practice the Conversation. Step 5 Pair work 1.Ask Ss to work in pairs and choose some words to fill in the blanks. Interviewer: How did you choose robot? Mr. Jiang: I saw a picture of the robot in a (1) __________. It wasn’t too expensive. So I (2) ________ it straight away. I needed it because my job as a (3) ________ of a big company kept me very busy. Interviewer: Did you have more free time after you bought the robot? Mr. Jiang: I did have more free time at first.
