    教学目标

    1. Knowledge objective

    Students learn to talk about past events and ask and answer the new sentence pattern: Where did you go on vacation?

    2.Ability objective

    Students can practice the skills of listening and use the new sentence pattern.

    3.Emotional objective

     students to cooperate well in groups and in pairs.

    教学重点

    Students can remember the new phrases

    教学难点

    Use the target language above to talk about past events.

    Teacher preparation: multimedia courseware, textbook recordings

    Student Preparation: Pre-class preparation

    教学过程

    1. Warm-up and lead-in

    1Ask students to discuss :What did you do during summer vacation?

    2Show some pictures and let students try to speak in English/   

    1. Presentation and practice

    Lets learn

    1Work on 1a.

      a. student read the phrases loudly and match the activities with the pictures (ag).

    b. the teacher point out the past tense of the verbs.

    c. student play a game to consolidate these phrases.  

    2Listening activity :work on 1b   

    1. Student listen to the tape and number the people (15) in the picture.
    2. students imitate the conversations and fill in the blanks. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.

    3Pair work :work on 1c

    Students look at the picture on ppt and practice in pairs.

      A: where did Tina go on vacation?

      B:She went to the mountains.

    3Listening activity :work on 2a and 2b

    1. Teacher play the recording the first time, students only listen and match the person with the place. Check the answers.

      b. Play the recording second time. Students check Yes, I didor No, I didntas they hear. Check the answers.

    3Work on 2d :

    1.           Students read the conversations and finish the mind map
    2.         Teacher shows the language points on the ppt

    3. Tell us __________(有趣的事情) about your vacation, Jenny.
