Zheng He, riginal name Ma Sanba, later Ma He, (brn c.1371, Yunnan, China—died 1433, Calicut , India), He is an admiral and diplmat wh helped extend the maritime and cmmercial influence f China thrughut the regins brdering the Indian Ocean. He cmmanded seven naval expeditins almst a century befre the Prtuguese reached India by sailing arund the suthern tip f Africa.
The Vyages f Zheng He
Zheng He was a famus Chinese explrer. In 1405, he set ff frm China n the first f seven great vyages. This was nearly a century befre Christpher Clumbus first set sail n his jurney f discvery t America. His travels were s imprtant that they are still studied tday.

At the end f each vyage, Zheng He returned many things that were seen in China fr the first time, such as a giraffe frm Africa. Besides develping trade, the vyages als encuraged the exchange f cultures and technlgies. They helped the develpment f thse cuntries and regins.
