    Part 1. Analysis f teaching material
    The selected teaching material is a dialgue taken frm Stry time, Unit1, Grade4, Cmpulsry Educatin textbks. My tpic tday is “Our schl subjects”(板书). The article mainly describes that children are talking abut their schl subjects in the new term. It is related t students’ daily life which can aruse students’ interests and help them master language pint better.
    Part 2. Analysis f students
    As we all knw, the students in Grade 4 are very active, curius, interested in new things, fnd f games and eager t shw themselves. After learning English fr 1 year, they have sme basic English backgrund knwledge, s during my class, I’ll create sme real situatins and games t attract them.
    Part 3. Teaching Aims
    Cnsidering the cntents f the lessn and the level f students, I design the fllwing aims:
    Aims n knwledge: By the end f the lessn, students will be able t listen, speak, read the wrds: schl, subject, see, Chinese, Maths, Art, Music, PE, Science, timetable and the sentence patterns: Welcme back t schl. Nice t see yu. What subjects d yu like? I like ….
    Aims n ability: Students will be able t talk abut their favrite subjects with each ther by using the target language pint.
    Aims n emtin: Students can enjy their learning time. And they will learn hw t cperate with thers.
    Part 4. Main pint and difficult pint
    Accrding t the teaching aims, the main pint f this lessn is t make sure that students can cmprehend the text as a whle and master the target language pint.
    The difficult pint is the practical use f the sentence pattern in real life and the prnunciatin f the wrds ”subject” “Chinese” “Science”.
    Part 5. Teaching Methds
    In this lessn, I’ll use tw teaching methds in my class. One is situatin methd. I will create a real situatin and let students cmmunicate with each ther by using the target language pint.
    The secnd ne is task-based methd. I will teach them t use reading skills t cmplete different levels f task. Thus, students will be mre cnfident t learn English.
    Part 6. Teaching Prcedures
    Next, I will fcus n my teaching prcedures.
    I will finish this lessn in 5 steps.
    Step 1. Warm up and lead-in
    At the beginning f the class, I will let students enjy a rhyme: Let’s learn which we’ve learnt in Grade 2 and lead in the new wrd “subject”
    Thus, I can activate students’ existing backgrund knwledge, draw their attentin t the new tpic and make preparatins fr the fllwing teaching.
    Step 2. Presentatin
    Firstly, I will present the new wrds and sentence patterns in the real teaching situatin. Fr example, I can say: Hell, bys and girls. Welcme back t schl. Nice t see yu again. This is ur first English lessn. Here is ur timetable. Students can easily knw the meaning in the real teaching situatin.
    Secndly, I will present the new sentence pattern by free talk with students. Fr example, I can ask students: D yu like English? D yu like Chinese? What abut yu? What subject d yu like? With the task, students can master the new sentence easily, because the present f the sentence is frm knwn t unknwn, easy t difficult.
    Thirdly, I will teach the new wrds accrding t students’ wn timetable. After that, I will play a game: what’s missing t cnslidate the new wrds. With the task, students will find that learning English wrds is fun.
    Furthly, I will give students the sentence pattern: Welcme back t schl. Nice t see yu. What subjects d yu like? I like …. Students need t wrk in pairs t talk abut their schl subjects n the basic f imitatin. With the task, students can practice the sentence patterns and develp their speaking ability.
    Step 3. Practice
    Firstly, watch and answer
    Let students watch the cartn and answer a questin:
    Q. What are they talking abut?
    With the questins in mind, students will definitely watch the cartn carefully. In this way, students can get a main idea f the text and be interested in the text.
    Secndly, listen and circle
    Let students listen t the dialgue then circle what subjects d they have. The task can develp students’ listening ability.
    Thirdly, read and match
    Let students read the text and match the infrmatin. The left parts are the names f the characters: Wang Bing, Mike, Yang Ling. The right parts are the subjects, students need t match the infrmatin crrectly accrding t the text.
    With the task, students can knw mre details abut the text and develp their self-study ability.
    Furthly, let students read the text after the tape sentence by sentence then read it in rles. The task helps students t imprve their prnunciatin and intnatin.
    Lastly, I ask students t fill in blanks. The task can check if students can really cmprehend the text as a whle.
    Step 4. Prductin
    Firstly, rle play
    Let students wrk in grups and then perfrm the dialgue. The task aims t cnslidate the language pints and als imprve students’ speaking ability.
    Secndly, I will create a situatin that we are in a fruit shp, let students perfrm a dialgue. At the same time, I will give them sme useful sentences. Fr example, Welcme t my fruit shp. D yu like apples? What abut yu? And students need t finish the dialgue with their imaginatin. With the task, students can use the language pint in real life.
    In the whle class, I will give students evaluatin in a psitive light, in rder t build up their cnfidence in learning English.
    Step 5. Hmewrk
    1. Listen and repeat the text three times.
    2. Cpy the new wrds three times.
    3. Preview the Fun time.
