Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents ?
    英语里的书面表达，顾名思义，就是根据内容提示，围绕话题和中心，用语言来“达意”。它本身并不困难，但要顺利的完成必须要经历“读懂题意——分析后确定人称和时态——写出关键词——连词成句——检查、完善”这样一个过程，很多同学在第一步或者第二步就“卡”住了，以至于后面就无法进行了。有的同学好不容易进入第三步了，可是由于平时的基础弱，单词不会写，短语不会用，所以又“无从下笔”了。在第四步的时候，由于对句子结构、语法等不太熟悉，导致写的句子不成句子，或者不能“达意”。偶有进入最后一关的，由于平时积累的句子比较少，不会使用关联词和优美的句子，也使得文章空空动动，没有亮色。为了解决大家的实际问题，今天，我就来给大家讲一讲八年级下册英语书面表达如何突破。
    以人教版英语八年级下册第四单元为例，这个单元的标题是:Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents ? 中文意思是:“你为什么不和父母交谈？”我们常说的书面表达，是要围绕一定话题进行的，而这个“话题”，一般都会在标题中折射出来。从标题以及这个单元的教学内容可以看出，本单元的写作应该和提建议有关。作为一名学生，在现实生活中我们会遇到很多问题，这个时候我们要学会寻求帮助，也要学会给别人提建议。以下面这篇书面表达为例，我们讲一件如何突破。
    假如你是Tom ，是一名中学生，现在就读于人民中学八年级一班。（提示：Grade 8 , Class 1）。你遇到了一个问题，不知道该怎么解决。你很喜欢弹吉他，并且弹得很好，但是由于学业负担重，你没有时间去参加课外辅导班。你为此感到沮丧（upset），不知道该怎么办？你想和父母交流，又害怕父母不理解你。于是，你给李老师写了一封信，向他寻求帮助，希望他能够帮助你。李老师给你回信，提出以下建议：1、学业很重要，但是和爱好并不冲突。2、努力学习，不懂就问，每天快速完成作业后就可以自己练习弹吉他。3、周末再去参加课外辅导班，这样就有时间做自己想做的事情了。4、多和父母交流，让他们明白你会努力做好好好学习的同时发展自己的爱好。5、希望你能解决自己的问题。为了完成这篇书面表达，我们先积累素材。在本单元的第一页，大量的篇幅介绍了表达学生们常见的问题短语、句子等，这些表达方式，我们要记在心上。例如：1、 I have to study too much so I don't get enough sleep.（我不得不努力学习，所以我睡眠不足。）
2、 I have too much homework so I don't have any free time to do things I like.（我有太多的作业，所以我没有空余时间做我喜欢做的事情。）
3、My parents don't allow me to hang out with my friends.（我的父母不允许我和朋友一起闲逛。）
4、I have too many after-school classes.（放学后，我上太多课外辅导课。）
5、I got into a fight with my best friend.（我和我最好的朋友打了一架。）在本单元第二页的听力训练、对话和第三页的Reading部分，也有一些用于书面表达的句子，可以为书面表达“锦上添花”，它们是:1、You should talk to him so that you can say you're sorry.（你应该跟他说话以至于你可以说抱歉。）
   2、Why don't you forget about it so that you can be friends again ?（为什么不能忘了此事以至于你们能够再次成为朋友？）
   3、My problem is that I can't get on with my family.（我的问题是我不能好好的与我的家人相处。）
   4、I don't know if I should say anything to them about this.（我不知道是否该对此事说点儿什么。）另外，在后面的语法、听力训练和长文章(Reading)中也有一些书面表达会用到的句子。1、I studied until midnight last night so I didn’t get enough sleep.2、You could tell her that this makes you angry so that she will ask you next time.3、I am worried about my school grades.4、My parents give me a lot of pressure about school.5、I have to compete with my classmates at school.6、Maybe you should learn to relax.7、Maybe I could cut out a few of their activities.8、These days , Chinese children are sometimes busier on   weekends than weekdays because they have to take so many after-school activities.9、People shouldn’t push their kids so hard.10、Doctors says too much pressure is not good for child’s development.11、Kids should have time to relax and think for themselves.有了这些前期准备工作以后，我们就可以进行刚才那篇书面表达了。
    解题思路:
    第一步，根据提示，判断人称、时态、体裁。(第一人称，一般现在时、书信格式)
    第二步，根据提示，写出对应的单词和短语。

I like playing the guitar very much , but I am under too much pressure about schoolwork , so I don’t have time to take after-school classes. I am upset and don’t know what to do . I want to communiate with my parents , but I am afraid that they don’t understand me. What should I do ? Can you give me some advice ?                                         Tom回信如下：Dear Tom  I am happy to help you. In my opinion , schoolwork can’t get in the way of hobbies. In order to develop them at the same time , you should study hard and finish homework quickly. If you have problems , why not ask teachers for help ? Then you can have time to practice the guitar every day. Besides , you can take after-school classes on weekends so that you will have time to do things that you like. And you can communicate with your parents and make them understand you can finish your schoolwork and develop your hobbies at the same time. I hope you can solve your problem.                                Mr. Li第四步，检查。
