Sea urchins (海胆) are small creatures, but what’s really remarkable abut them is that they eat anything that happens t flat by. They have really sharp teeth they use t rid rcks f algae (海藻), which makes them pretty valuable especially in places like Hawaii where algae are threatening the cral reefs. In the summer f 2019, 500,000 f them were used t deal with the algae.

He uses specially designed plastic frames t make yung ak and ash trees grw in the shape f chairs, tables, frames, r lamps.

Once they take the desired shape, they are cared fr until thick, mature and ready fr harvest.
After harvesting, each piece is planed (刨平) and finished t shw ff the wd grain inside. “It’s an art frm itself, and I must keep track f everything,” Munr said.
The entire prcess takes abut fur t eight years, resulting in fully functinal, rganic, and ec-friendly furniture, and mre lng-lasting than anything else n the market. They are grwn and grafted(嫁接) int ne slid piece withut any jints that lsen ver time. As Munr puts it, these pieces f furniture culd last fr centuries.

Trees are cmmnly cut dwn fr wd and paper. 1 . The unique chemical prcess that trees and plants use t turn light energy frm the sun int xygen is knwn as phtsynthesis
    2
The prductin f xygen is a result f phtsynthesis, but it is nt the main purpse f this prcess. 3 . Plants create their wn fd thrugh phtsynthesis. The plant uses these elements t make fats and prteins that are then used t maintain the plant’s life.
    The prcess f phtsynthesis
The first step in phtsynthesis is using the sun’s energy. During this prcess, chlrphyll (叶绿素) absrbs the light energy f the sun. The energy frm the sun then acts n the water absrbed by the rts f the plant. Carbn dixide sent int the atmsphere by animals and humans is then absrbed by the plant’s leaves and paired with the hydrgen t prduce sugar. The sugar is cnverted int plant fd. 4 .
    Threats t tree phtsynthesis
5 . Tday, nly abut 30 percent f Earth’s land is cvered with trees. This is cntributing t glbal warming since trees are necessities in cnsuming the carbn dixide in the atmsphere.
根据第一段中的Sea urchins (海胆) are small creatures, but what’s really remarkable abut them is algae are threatening the cral reefs.
The prblem started when nn-native algae were intrduced t the ecsystem f Kanehe Bay in the 1970s. Because they had n enemies, they ended up taking ver the bay可知,非本地藻类到达卡内奥赫湾后,它们散布到海湾的每一个角落。
But they had t grw t the size f a cherry tmat befre they culd be used. 由此可知,sea urchins that lved t devur the algae意为“喜欢吃海藻的海胆”。 故选A。
根据最后一段Algae isn’t the nly thing turning t sea urchins instead f man-made slutins seems like the best way t g.

He first came up with the idea f grwing furniture when he was wrking as a gardener in Califrnia可知,当他在加州当园丁的时候,第一次萌生了种植家具的想法。故选A。
A frest that grws furniture sunds like a setting right ut f Alice in Wnderland, but there’s nthing magical abut it—just a lt f hard wrk.

A frest that grws furniture sunds like a setting right ut f Alice in Wnderland, but there’s nthing magical abut it—just a lt f hard wrk.
Trees are cmmnly cut dwn fr wd and paper. The unique chemical prcess that trees and plants use t turn light energy frm the sun int xygen is knwn as phtsynthesis
The prductin f xygen is a result f phtsynthesis, but it is nt the main purpse f this prcess. 故选A。
Plants create their wn fd thrugh then used t maintain the plant’s life.
During this sugar is cnverted int plant fd.
Tday, nly abut 30 percent f Earth’s land is cvered with trees. This is cntributing t glbal warming carbn dixide in the atmsphere.
吸收 4.take in吸收 5.cntribute t是……
