Lesson 39 A Class Calendar
1.能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:date,January,March,April,June,second,February,third,fourth,fifth,May,sixth。
2.让学生了解如何用英语询问日期。
3.让学生自己介绍当天的具体活动。
1.掌握一些与介绍活动有关的词汇:have,mark,look。
2.激发学生兴趣,让学生运用所学知识介绍日
期和活动。
掌握以下重点句子:
①It’s January 17.
②We have a basketball game against Class 6 on April 12.
③What’s the date today,Li Ming?
④Let’s look at our class calendar for next year.
Step 1:Lead-in
Lead-in by showing some pictures of different dates and activities. Let the students reserve in groups and ask questions about the pictures. Then present some of them in front of the class.
Step 2:Listening
Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the passage. At the same time,fill in the blanks with the words you hear.
1.We have a class________on January 17.
2.On April 12,we have a________ ________.
3.Yi Han’s birthday is on________15.
Finish the task in class orally.
Ask the students to finish Exercise 4 in groups.
Step 3:Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions:
1.When do we have Sports Day?
2.What month comes after December?
3.What dates can we mark on our calendar?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4:Practice
Write a note to introduce the dates and activities on that day.
Work in groups to finish the task. After a while,let some groups present their notes in front of the class.
When the students are writing,the teacher can walk around the classroom to solve the problems that probably happen.
Step 5:Come to “Let’s Do It!”
Search for month and ordinal number words and then write them down of Exercise 1.Listen to the tape again and finish Exercise 2 together.
1.Finish Exercise 3 in “Let’s Do It!”.
2.Write a note to introduce the date and the activities on that day.
